  • Yes, the SMl instantview driver must be installed before using the docking station. Detailed steps are provided on the product page and in the manual.

  • Note: Security software may block or report errors during driver download/installation. Rest assured, the driver is safe and functional. Should this occur, please do not hesitate to enquire.

  • Yes, the SM770 chip in our usb c dock can solve the problem. As long as the laptop has a Type-C or A port, whether it is fullfeatured or not it can achieve display extend, file transfer and other functions through the dock.

  • The USB-C to USB-A connector does not support charging your laptop, please use the USB-C port to charge.

  • On Windows, screen rotation and clamshell mode are both available. On Mac, screen rotation is not available and clamshell mode is only available on Mac OS 13.x or later.
