The Worx Nitro WA0222 Driveshare 10” Universal Pole Saw Attachment is the easier, safer, better way to prune hard-to-reach tree branches and limbs. Part of the powerful Nitro Series of tools, which boast gas-like performance but use clean, cost-effective battery power, and one of the attachments in the Driveshare system that turns the Worx Nitro 40V Grass Trimmer (sold separately) into a complete lawn and property detailing all-in-one tool. This Pole Saw attachment features a high-speed 10” bar & chain for a professional-grade user experience. The bar is longer than other Pole Saw attachments on the market, so it has the capability to cut through thicker branches and limbs. It operates at 55.8 ft./s. with a .043 in. chain gauge and a 3/8 in. pitch. The chain itself is 40 links and the entire attachment weighs only 4.06 lbs. so it’s easy to hold up high for long stretches. This Universal Pole Saw Attachment is compatible with other brands’ attachment-capable systems, like Ryobi, Craftsman, Troy-Bilt, and TrimmerPlus. Just as the attachments from those brands fit the Worx Nitro 40V Driveshare String Trimmer. So you can mix and match in a way that’s convenient for you. Leave the ladder in the garage when you trim your trees and stay safely on the ground. The included extension pole allows for a total of 12.5 ft. of extra reach, which is longer than other similar products on the market.

First time I used it with the extension it broke after 45 min. Worx rep was great and replaced it. Thereafter I never used the extension again and only occasionally used the chainsaw attachment. The chainsaw attachment now wiggles a bit and the chain no longer spins when attempting to cut. The saw spins without load but as soon as a limb cut is attempted the chain stops. Very frustrating. Everything is tightened down and not an abuse or user error issue. The base unit is a great grass trimmer but I do not recommend this pole saw attachment.

I bought two worx tools in 2021 and a chainsaw with extension in 2022. The extension has a spring inside an aluminum tubethat drives a square pin. Thespring sprung. no part number on the extension. sowayto ipen it up and reset it. I called. Ashton got all my info and looked into it. They are sending me a new extension. Maybe a chain saw, but Ireally only need the extension. I ike the tools. I use the trimmer and whacker a lot. but, there are limbs I just can't quite get to. The weed whackerdrive system seems to slip a little. I will look into grease or oil. but, overall, I like them.
I love my Worx tools and this was a great addition to my driveshare drive. It is relatively light weight and easy to handle. I was worried that it would not cut very well, but was presently surprised with how fast it cut through some pretty big branches.
3.0 out of 5 starsIf you look at it wrong, the chain falls off

I'm totally rewriting my review for this pole saw attachment as I'm just back from the garage. There are a lot of variables and some trial and error to getting a bar to take a chain, I know that from the other saws I have owned, but usually there is a harmony at some point and you can get your work done. I thought, maybe I have a kink in the chain, did the rosary all around and it's all loose. The chain guard not going on right? No, it is, everything is lining up. Teeth not sinking into the gear? No, they're bitten in and I can rotate the chain manually and it stays put. Make sure you've got the chain on the right direction--okay, shark fin in front from this side on the diagram...tighten it up, click it into the WG186, run it, run it, run it. Run it all the way to the branch...TOUCH the branch AND your house burns down. Sorry, I know chainsaws and it shouldn't be this hard. 2 Stars b/c I like most other WORX tools and I'm going to keep at it, maybe even buying a new chain, to try to exonerate this option, but no customer should have to go to these lengths, I'm just loyal to the brand. I'll come back and change this if I discover an issue.
Issue: bar LOOKS like it's hole is pressed on to the bar guide but it is a game of micromillimeters. I pressed it on firmly then adjusted the screw and it seemed to settle better than it was. Locked it down with the chain guard and it has been much better. I sure wouldn't give it to my grandmother though.

The photo used in the description is not what you will receive. Notice the orange plastic housing covering the chain sprocket. That housing has been redesigned and is now very susceptible to breakage. Mine broke second time the saw was used. Got about two hours of work done before it broke. Returned.
