Never knew how much I needed these until I picked them up. I'm doing a restoration on an old '68 Charger RT440 6 pack for a customer. It was previously restored, very poorly. There's a weird type of gummy/sticky filler on every surface of the car, so using flap discs or regular "abrasives" was a nightmare. They'd gum up and become unusable within 2 minutes.
So I resorted to using good old stone grinding discs again. Since there's a ton of little intricate spots to get into, I'd often just have to use the edge of my 3" cutting wheel and grind away slowly. These are a little smaller so they really get in the hard-to-reach places. They can gum up eventually on that sticky stuff, but will quickly clear themselves when you grind over some bare steel again as you shed the surface material off.

These grinding wheels are quality and work great
I installed one of these grinding wheels on my pneumatic die grinder for testing. I had recently cut some mild steel material to size, leaving burrs and sharp edges, so I decided to try out these wheels to see if I could smooth out the edges. I like using the wheel with the air tool because its easy to control and I can accurately remove material. (See video) I was able to quickly smooth out the edges on the cut steel. The grinding performance well exceeded my expectations.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 17, 2025These fit right into my drill and have been really handy for quick sharpening jobs, like touching up lawn mower blades. I also use them to smooth rough edges and shape things a bit when needed. They work well for general DIY tasks, like what I need. I'm not working at a professional level, so I can't speak to how these would do in a real shop.
One thing to watch for: the bit can separate from the cap if you're using high speeds, so it’s a good idea to double-check that it's secured tightly, or run the drill in the opposite rotation. That aside, they’ve been solid for what I need.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 22, 2025I bought this 10-pack of 2" grinding wheels for use with my die grinder and couldn't be happier. These discs are perfect for small-scale grinding, weld cleanup, and metal shaping, especially in tight or awkward spots where larger wheels won’t fit.
The included mandrel fits perfectly in my drill and die grinder, and the 3/8" arbor makes switching out discs quick and easy. The white aluminum oxide (WA) abrasive does a great job on mild and stainless steel—sharp, clean cuts every time.
These aren’t meant for heavy-duty grinding or major material removal, but for precision work, they’re ideal. They do wear a bit faster than thicker discs, but that’s expected with this size and type.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 11, 2025This is an impressive of small diameter grinding discs.
Why impressive? Because of the quality. The stones are not "loose" - they are made in a high-density manner, so that gaps and voids are pretty much, nonexistent. The material is smooth to the touch, even at the outside edges. By the same token, the two shoulders are straight and true, at 90 degree to the body. The same can be side for disc flatness. Put one stone face down a flat surface, and there are no "wobble points".
On the inside of each side - the depressed side - you find a metal collar surrounding the 3/8" arbor hole. In addition to the collar on the disc side, this metal continues through the vast majority of the arbor hole, effectively coating the sides of the hole with metal. I believe this will help the arbor hole from being nicked or damaged for the insertion and removal of the arbor, as you change out different heads on your tools.
3/8"
The spin very well, without any crazy vibration that would tell you of poor stone construction. These discs spin as they should and how you would expect.
The arbour is pretty cool, by having both 1/4" and 3/8" options. It also comes with two arbour top screws, letting you lose one!
The grind is not course. The results after use are more between a fine and medium grade. There is no rating on the disc, as to their grade.
The remove rust and paint about as well as you would expect from a "fine" to "medium" stone. Much finer, and removal would be far too slow; and a course stone, would leave a finish that would require a finer to stone to grind down the heavy scoring.
Bottom Line - A generous package of ten (10) 2" grinding discs. Great quality - with an included arbour and top screws
- Reviewed in Canada on July 14, 2025These 2" Grinding Wheels are manufactured to tight tolerance. No wobbling, no vibration - when used with either a die-grinder or a drill machine.
I would not use this to clean-up/grind-off any welded joints as some others have tried. These are meant for high precision smaller jobs. Gives us better control.
We get mounting screws for 3/8-inch and 1/4-inch center holes - making this a versatile kit - with the supplied universal mandrel.
Good value.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 25, 2025For quick rust or paint removal, these work well, but they aren't going to smooth out a weld very quickly. $22 for 10 of them ... not a bad price, but not great either.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 12, 2025This is a handy little kit that works on die grinders or drills. It comes with a mandrel that can handle wheels with either 3/8" or 1/4". They supply you with grinding wheels with a 3/8" hole, but it is nice they included the mandrel screw for either size. The mandrel is nice and solid, built to last, there is no issues with it. The wheels are semi-smooth good for small to medium jobs buffing, grinding rusted areas, metal prep-work, there are many applications. The wheels are durable, they are going to last a long time under normal use and you get 10 of them, which is great. It is a pretty reasonable price for what you get, one good prep job or cleanup and it pays for itself.
