AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRICAL LEAKAGE DETECTION

1. Backup Power Connection

Prepare fully charged spare battery, correctly connect clips to battery terminals (red to positive, black to negative) → Device displays voltage

2. OBD Connection

Connect device OBD interface to vehicle OBD port

3. Critical Circuit Preservation

→ Remove vehicle fuses individually, retaining only ECU/power-critical circuits → Prevents component leakage from triggering device overcurrent protection (avoids ECU data loss)

4. Disconnect Battery Negative Terminal

→ Keep disconnected terminal clear of metal parts (prevents shorts) → Current will fluctuate due to relay contact operation

5.Identify Leaking Circuits

Pull out and plug in the fuses in the vehicle's fuse box one by one and monitor current fluctuations. A sudden current increase indicates potential leakage in the fuse's circuit. At this point, refer to the vehicle circuit diagram to locate the circuit where the fuse is located and conduct leakage inspection on that circuit.
