    These are not the Viotor traps of the 80’s. I was able to set 2 of 6. Im not sure if the bait plate is to far away, but I tried a dozen times and every time I was able to set it, the locking rod slipped out on the way to placing it on the ground. I’m not an engineer but I think they need to revisit the process of making the bait plates, or tighten up their tolerance's on them. Thanks for the sore finger

    Placed 2 near the active areas, this is the wide big trap, within a night a big fat one got snapped or bounded by the trap but not on the trap and it still knocked it out. Shouldn't be passed out since it's not moving for a while. Lets see if it we can scare the rest of the friends away since I can hear rustling scratching sounds in the walls too.

    I’ve tried all kinds of traps, and this one is by far the best for catching rats covered with peanut butter or slim jim. Make sure to remove all food sources and seal entry and exit points using mesh and steel wool. For larger rats, screw the trap onto a piece of plywood.

    These are better than the non-paddle type traps in my opinion. I screw these to a piece of 2x4 and put them behind a deck box up against my garage. The paddle is so wide that the rats spring the traps trying to walk over the traps. Very productive. Very important to attach them to something heavy otherwise they just flip around when sprung. Also, the rat could run off with the trap depending where it is caught.
