Victor Power-Kill Rat Trap
Quickly trap and kill rats with Victor’s most powerful solution: the Victor Power-Kill Rat Trap. The unit features an effective design with a large bait trough and a highly sensitive trip pedal. Once contact is made with the pedal, the trap’s High-Impact Kill Bar instantly snaps shut, ensuring a quick, humane kill. The Power-Kill rat trap means business, making your rat problem a thing of the past.

Designed for Higher Catch Rates
The Victor Power-Kill Rat Trap’s oversized trip pedal makes it difficult to avoid, which helps promote successful trappings. Whenever a rat steps onto the trip pedal, whether attempting to eat the bait or simply scurrying by, the Power-Kill will activate. With the trip pedal triggered, the trap’s High-Impact Kill Bar instantly and powerfully springs shut for a quick, immediate kill.

How to Use
Setup is fast and easy with the Victor Power-Kill Rat Trap! Simply fill the bait trough with bait, pull back the High-Impact Kill-Bar until it “clicks” into position, and place the trap in a location with rodent activity. This trap is convenient for both indoor and outdoor use. To reuse the trap, simply lift up on the kill bar to release the rat, or dispose of the entire trap.

Product description
The Victor Power Kill Rat Trap is a set and released with one simple "click" rat trap. This one-step open and close mechanism also makes it easy to cleanly dispose of the rodent with no hand contact. The trap was designed with a large trough, for easy baiting with any of their favorite foods. The Power Kill's oversized pedal is easily activated - both by rodent interest in food AND through accidental contact as rats scamper across the floor - to ensure maximum trapping. Once a rodent triggers the pedal, the powerful jaw immediately springs closed for a quick, humane kill on contact. The clean-trapping Victor Power Kill Rat Trap delivers effective and immediate rat control - even in hard to reach places. Each powerful rat trap features two holes on the back for attachment to pipes, beams and other hard-to-access places where rats thrive. Made of highly durable plastic, each rat trap of this six pack is safe for use around food, water, animals and children and can be reused multiple times to maximize rat control. Victor Power Kill Rat Traps are the perfect for use anywhere in the home. These rat traps should be placed where rodents travel, such as along walls at 2 to 3 foot intervals.

- Reviewed in Canada on April 11, 2024Verified PurchaseWatch your fingers, these have a powerful kill bar and the release mechanism seems very light. Removing the dead rodent is pretty straight forward - pull the catch bar back, and let them fall off into a garbage bag. Simple to bait as well. I would recommend buying them.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 9, 2024Verified PurchaseThis trap is powerful enough to snap those rats immediately!
I Setup 3 traps upon arrival and the traps were "Fuĺll" within 10mins past sundown.
I am totally satisfied with this prod7uct

- Reviewed in Canada on November 30, 2024Verified PurchaseAlthough good I like these better than the original Victor traps for the setting process. Less likely to set off and catch a finger. They're really easy to use and so far very effective - less mess. We've reused them multiple times with no issues.
- Reviewed in Canada on October 13, 2024Verified PurchasePrompt service!
The design is small but attached to base… no problem. The kill bar is exactly what they say.
Very hard… keep fingers away.
- Reviewed in Canada on April 26, 2022Verified PurchaseAbsolutely the best traps you can buy. Huge trigger plate, deadly force, reusable over and over. Guaranteed to solve your pest problems. You can even release and reset without touching the dead thing.
- Reviewed in Canada on September 24, 2023Verified PurchaseThey work really good
- Reviewed in Canada on July 1, 2020Verified PurchaseThe traps pictured were gray with a different SKU # than the beige ones. I figured must be a newer, improved version. However I received the original traps which are available through Home Depot for 2/9.98, Canadian Tire 5.99 ea and TSC for 6.19 ea. These traps worked out to 8.33 per trap plus the additional tax. Really not Free Shipping!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to Use
Verified PurchaseAs disgusting as it is to see dead rats in a trap, it's a lot more quick acting than bait stations. I found that these traps are much less complicated (and therefore safer) to use than other traps I've seen of this type. Although they are a little smaller than other traps, I've been able to snag several very big rats because the bite is pretty powerful. For those brave at heart, you can release the dead rat into your trash. Easy to clean if you like. But I am so horrified about the rats that I use a shovel to scoop up the trap and the dead rat and pitch the whole thing. Not very economical for me, but that's my choice. The only down side for me is that the pressure required to set it is hard on my arthritic hands. But that's what makes it effective and I think someone with more youthful hands would have no trouble. It's surprising how effective such a simple device can be.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who says you can’t reinvent the rat trap
Verified PurchaseThese work fantastic and will save you money. The way this is constructed makes it very easy and simple to remove rat and reboot for the next. I have bought two bundles of these and taken out small mice to large Jurassic rats. I have take. Out at least 20 so far and reuse the traps every time unlike the traditional ones which can be messy and too close for comfort removal of dead rat: I had only one rat that got away stunned but is was not far away from the trap where I was able to capture him. Baiting is simple, usually I use peanut butter but the rats and mice in our area prefer meats, so chicken mixed with French bread seems to work every time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works, but be forewarned
Verified PurchaseWell the rat was able to smatch the food from the first trap without setting it off. The second time it did kill one, not immediately, however. I had to hear the rat fighting for its life for several minutes, while also splattering blood all over my kitchen. Pretty gruesome thing to have to clean up. Effective? Yes. Humane? Not sure about that one. I won't make yall look at a photo of that.

5.0 out of 5 stars finally a good trap
Verified Purchasemy yard has been overrun with river rats what a mess, exterminator said they would only use poison which I refused in case my birds got a dead rat it would kill them. So far I have killed 31 rats small and large mostly with these snap traps. the little well to put the peanut butter in is unique and they have to stand on the paddle to get to it. and wham little bugger is DOA It helps to rotate the traps with the other kind I got and also I put out Corn Meal Muffin mix with honey and baking soda which might be helping but they eat it and fill with gas, they cant fart or burp and they go to the den and die. so I cant tell if that works or not yet. They are very smart little Bs and are driving me nuts.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Design - misses the rat
Verified PurchaseThis is a very poor design. The original snap traps with a metal trigger are much faster and work.
I bought several of these. They go off and the rat is too fast and either escapes or gets one leg caught and runs around with the trap latched on its leg.
It already sucks dealing with a dead rat. Dealing with a live rat running around the garage with a trap on its leg is worse. Then to finish to job you will need to stomp it with work boots on or submerge the thing in water.
