NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL 😡 DO NOT PURCHASE THIS!!! Even after cleaning, aligning, wasting paper and 'ink' I foolishly followed the tiny User Guide supplied (some pretty odd procedures... just sayin') I finally just set the printer to the Best Quality and the result STILL came out looking as though the printer was running OUT OF INK not printing from a NEW 245XL!?!? (Oh, both cartridges behaved the same by the way) I will now be shopping for my REAL INK at Walmart or another retail store in town, at least I'll know that what I'm getting will be FACTORY TRUE. This little 'User Guide' that was tucked in with the 2 'ink' cartridges sure speaks volumes 🙄 I don't know who created it, how they created it or what they used for this so called "valuetoner" but this product is so not worth it!!! Wasted money, wasted time, wasted paper and 'ink' (or whatever), then still ended up having to go buy a new printer that included FACTORY INK to print off documents that were needed ASAP. 🇨🇦 Oh Heck, yeah one pissed off Canuck 🇨🇦... I was just going to type "NO WORDS" for my review BUT as they say "See Something, Say Something" and THIS IS JUST WRONG, PERIOD. Eh? 🤔😉 MAKE IT RIGHT ALREADY!!! Sheesh ✊️🎤 Out.

    I recently acquired a Canon MX492 printer when my other printer died. I liked Canon for several reasons, one of which was that they allowed aftermarket ink cartridges to work in their machines, The trick was finding WHICH aftermarket inks worked best and were least costly. Unfortunately, the place I had been getting mine from for the other printer did not make the cartridges for my new printer. After considerable research I decided to try the Valuetoner brand. (in XL). They installed easily in my printer,,ii "read" the cartridges, showed the levels, and printed very nicely. The only concern is that the BLACK ink showed to be only about 3/4 full. (Thus the 4 star rating for value) .Not sure about that. The color version showed full. I will monitor for volume. and report back. I have only had them in place for a couple of weeks, so time will tell about the actual print volume. So far, so good, I am pleased to say. They were a lot less expensive than the Canon brand and seem to work well. I will update if there is any issue later.

    These work like a champ. No issue there. However, they do not have the necessary electronics to tell Mister Printer on the quantity of ink. From day one the printer keeps whining to replace the cartridge, despite the fact it works just peachy keen.

    Personally, I don't give a crap. It works. When it stops working, I'll pop a new one in.
