BOAT GEL COAT REPAIR - WARM TIPS

* 1. The dark color gel has stronger covering power, when adjusting the color, it is recommended to adjust a small amount, several times, gradually to get the most suitable color. If the bottom color is darker and the repair surface is lighter, sand the bottom before repairing.
* 2. The product is a semi-fluid liquid, relatively viscous, filling holes and deep cracks can be gradually filled with the help of a stirring rod. If the product is not completely filled, it will shrink after curing, resulting in an uneven surface, which can be adjusted again according to the results of the repair.
* 3. Due to the different pressure values underwater and on the surface of the water, it is not recommended to use it in areas that are permanently below the surface of the water.
* 4. Failure to mix 1:1, or uneven mixing, will result in longer curing times and poorer adhesion. Low ambient temperatures, high humidity, or too thick a coating will take longer to cure. Once dry, you can use sandpaper to repair any excess marks on the surface.
* 5. Sandpaper can increase surface friction before use, providing better adhesion. Alternatively, after complete curing, polish to remove any residual marks or raised areas, in order to achieve a smooth surface.
* 6. After the glass fiber repair paste is completely cured, a smooth surface will be formed, and sandpaper polishing will damage the surface. It is necessary to ensure that it is completely polished smooth.
* 7. Small damages such as cracks, with relatively small damaged surfaces. You can first increase the contact surface of the surface, and then continuously smooth the surface to promote penetration.
* 8. The masking tape can protect non repair areas. After the repair is completed, the masking tape should be removed as soon as possible to avoid affecting the tape removal after the glass fiber paste solidifies.
