Useless filing cabinet

I am so frustrated and angry about this product. I spent at least two hours putting this filing cabinet together, only to discover that it will not hold my standard letter size hanging file folders. The filing cabinet itself is lovely and the instructions were clear. Too bad it is absolutely useless. The narrowest rail setting says it is 12.2” wide, but it is only 11.5”, far too narrow for my 11.75” folders. The widest rail setting is too wide. Don’t waste your time or money on this seller.

The assembly of this file folder filling cabinet is as you would expect for this type of product if you assembled one before. Couple of joint, wooder piece and twist locking mechanism which you can do all with a screwdriver. If you go for the drill, set your torquer so not to damage the pieces, it is not recommended but if you know what to do it is fine. Mine was set as low as 4 of 10 and it was fine to speed up the work and not break anything. Instruction are good and pieces well marked.

Once completed you have a very fine and fairly solid two drawer cabinet. It uses a 5th wheel on the lower cabinet which make it smooth to open even if heavier stuff is there. The white is quite nice and neutral and should fit with most décor. Check the sizing for the hanging file folder in case you already own some, there are 2 main settings for width or you can cheat and offset one of the sides to make a third one but folder would not line up as nice within the drawer. Keep in mind the A4 is not entirely as wide as Legal, but the hanging folder would be and thus still fit. However, the A4 maybe less popular here to find. Meanwhile letter is totally fine.

Today I am reviewing the VICBINLY 2 Drawer Wooden File Cabinet. The cabinet is basic white particle wood and requires assembly. I found the assembly process to be straightforward with following the directions of the manual. I did use a cordless drill to help speed up the process a bit. I set my hanging folder rails up for letters as they were readily available at the local business store. I really like this filing cabinet as I have an old metal cabinet that is extremely heavy and hard to move. The Vicbinly cabinet is very movable as it has wheels and I also like that the bottom drawer has a wheel to keep it level and easy to open and close. The construction is solid and the sliding hardware seems of good quality. If you are looking for an attractive filing cabinet I can recommend the VICBINLY 2 Drawer Wooden File Cabinet.
