- Reviewed in Canada on April 20, 2024Verified PurchaseThe machine is nice easy to set up and easy to use.
The one thing I don't like is that it doesn't have a Final Cut to cut the vinyl you've worked on to take it away from the machine.
I've watched the videos online The pressure their suggesting you use is way too heavy. I suggest that you use 40 grams for the vinyl they provide. I'm cutting a heavier vinyl at 80 grams I'm also using a high quality vinyl not a crickut style quality.
- Reviewed in Canada on May 20, 2025Verified PurchaseThe housing that holds the blade does not work properly. I sent requests for support and nothing was working. The amount of vinyl i have wasted with this machine is outrageous.
Sometimes the machine would work fine, making me think it had worked out the kinks, just for it to malfunction halfway through a project, making the project completely unusable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Accurate and easy to use !
Verified PurchaseThis is not my first plotter/cutter. I've used Roland before and I've owned a US Cutter MH871. Sold that years ago. I wanted to get back into signage at a low upfront cost. This Vevor cutter is the same quality as the US Cutter. Pros: build quality, ease of use, 34" size, decent software, easy setup, pouch to catch the vinyl so it doesn't hit the floor and get filthy ! Cons: the vinyl supplied is not great quality but good for practice.
The only issue I have had is with the UPS delivery: they dropped it on end and broke one end cover. They handled it like ogres. I was quite ticked off ! It's sensitive electronics, for cryin' out Pete !
I contacted Vevor with help from 鶹, and they're sending me replacement parts. Luckily, the plotter action and accuracy wasn't affected by the rough handling. Vevor really stepped up after the sale and I am more than happy with that. Great company and I have other products from them which are built great as well ! If you're looking at it, get it. You won't regret it !

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than anticipated
Verified PurchaseIt's the 34in Vevor, 870 model. Works exactly as described. The Signmaster software provided is windows only, but this works just fine with Mac and Linux using third party software. Signmaster supposedly has Mac versions, but I can't verify those. I use Sure-Cuts-a-Lot v6, but have tested it with EasyCut Pro on Mac and InkCut on Mac and Linux. (Inkcut requires some tech skills to get the ports to work, YMMV)
Comes with a few rolls of vinyl. I had to build my own pen holder, as the clamp built it in fixed size, and doesnt hold my pens, but it's easy enough as long as your pens are smaller. If you have thick pens, they will NOT work.
At $99, this is a freakin BARGAIN.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow for one Bill I got this great cutter
Verified PurchaseWorks good for me put picture of my first cut - space invaders for my retro gaming machine.
The only issue I had was that the vinyl would catch on the grooves on the front of the machine. I just attach some scrap to the next print so it hangs over them.
I can't say much about the software, an idiot screen pops up wanting you to buy the pro version. I used Inkscape to change the image file into a vector file and loaded it up into Sign Master.

5.0 out of 5 stars Plotter
Verified PurchaseI work in the vinyl room of a sign shop and this thing means business! Really good machine for the price! I like that you don’t have to line up the pinch rollers like the graph tech we have at work. Works really fast and cuts great through print media and vinyl.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works. Speaks HPGL
Verified PurchaseWorks, is a steal at $99
I sort of expected a broken device given the price, and was planning that it might need a repair or other technical changes to work. But mine was fully functional, came with a nice metal stand and some sample vinyl
This device speaks the HPGL control language via USB-only; on my unit there is no serial (COMM) port support. There is a serial cable and physical port but they don’t work, and the USB interface isn’t a serial adapter. Instead this device registers as USB printer. This has advantages but means that old instructions for serial ports don’t work
The included Windows software works with the updated USB interface and the device is also usable without special drivers on MacOS and Linux. I found instructions for setting it up to work with any OS by searching for “vevor kw 780a driver cups”
