    The magnets in these trays are strong. I'm currently using them to keep my impact sockets from rolling around in my tool chest drawer. They suit my purpose and didn't cost me much. I never cared for the rail style socket holders, and I didn't want to spend the money on those fancier indexed display type holders, I don't need to impress anyone I just need my sockets to stay in one place. Now they do. The trays are large enough and strong enough to hold more than a full set of 1/2" drive impacts (32mm - 10mm) standing upright. If they're strong enough for that, they'll be strong enough for most uses.

    I can't speak about the adhesive on the magnets since mine are stationary, but I'd assume they'd fail eventually with repeated use. Many do and some other reviewers have stated so.
