It definitely help with the movement inside my 5th wheel RV. I added a turn buckle where the chain goes so I can apply pressure to the hitch receiver. To setup...I insert it into the hitch receiver then extend the arms as wide as it will go. Then extend the feet and make sure they are securely on the ground. Then I tighten the turn buckle to pull the feet toward the center to put pressure on the hitch receiver. Without the turn buckle it would be difficult to put any pressure on the receiver, and it takes some amount of pressure to stabilize the rear of the 5th wheel.
