We keep our everyday dinnerware in a century-old Mizuya (a Japanese kitchen cabinet). We absolutely love this antique cabinet but it's a bit awkward to access its contents, especially big serving plates, without bumping or banging into the frame. Plus, stacking plates vertically raised concern for the old wooden shelf boards. So I looked for a good solution which would allow us to enjoy this antique Mizuya for many years to come while making it easier for us to move the dishes in & out. This product is marketed as a drying rack, but it's also an excellent cabinet organizer. It sure looks great in our antique cabinet; teak perfectly matches the material used in the cabinet. The rack is well-constructed. Sturdy. Taking plates in & out is so much easier than before too. The only shortcoming for us would be the both slots of the upper part are wider and, therefore, dinner plates won't stand up straight (=lean into the next dishes). I realize this is due to the fold-up frame construction, but I really wish I had those extra 2 slots usable. However, this is a minor flaw. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase. Highly recommended.

    My only critique would be that I wish the lower drinking glass shelf was an inch wider. Some of my mugs don’t fit in it. But otherwise I love it !

    Bought to replace an old pine drainer that had gone manky due topesky washed plate drip water - tut.

    On the box it says these are teak and are waterproof and so far that looks the case.

    The drop down shelf does fit reasonable sized cups/mugs in our house but the wife’s cooling tower sized mug still goes on the top plate drainer area as usual.

    Ikea bought plates and side plates fit great in the plate area so itdoes the job.

    It is a bit pricey but it’s nicely made - screws and not tiny nails as used in the now in the bin older drainer. Plus it’s just feels good - hopefully no more trapped fingers when folding it away after use.

    Finally when folding if, it feels heavy when folding it away then you’ve forgot to wipe that mug again :-)
