I was hesitant to purchase, because it’s not a Dyson part, but I’m glad I did! I have a V7 it’s older- prob 8 yrs old. The battery has been going for the last year, finally went. I purchased this and installed- easy to find you tube video on how to install. Charged overnight and it was ready to go. It works fantastic! The MAX setting works for the first time since the vacuum was a year old. The battery lasts a long time, I haven’t figured out how long yet but I vacuumed for 25mins no issues. Save your money and use this instead of buying Dysons overpriced parts.

I kept the old one until it was completely dead and then installed the new one only to find that after a month it is about as dead as the old one. The only issue is that it is now past the 30 day mark and I have been stiffed for $45 because I can't return it. Do NOT buy from this vendor, there are a lot of other options out there.
