    Posting this in Dec 2024, purchased a set back in Feb 2022.

    Initially, did not posted any review, it was just another led strip.
    2+ years later, the driver stopped work, and then I realize that its taking 5v usb input but the leds are 12v.
    I contacted the seller asking if they sell the replacement driver as I wasn't able to find a replacement that take 5v input for 12v strip. Instead, they simply offered to sent me a full set as they do not sell the driver separately.

    i wanted a light strip that didnt need a big brick adapter for the tiny amount of power used by the lights. These work just fine and i am fond of the purple option, another set i got recently is interesting, when creating custom colors you can see various parts of an led tab light up to create the custom color but the purple isnt very good. This strip is decent, the green blue red and white are very nice, it doesnt get hot and the custom colors are fun.
    i still have to play with the music function but im very happy for the price.

    the adhesive is likely a waste, i use painters tape and it's plenty strong enough and is safe for the paint. since a roll of 3m 2sides tape costs more than this led strip, i tested a small section of the adhesive and it wasnt hardly strong enough to stick to my finger hence painters tape. once the lights are on and if you're neat about it, the tape isnt obvious anyways.

    i was disappointed that this wouldnt work with my other led 5050 10m strips, same connectors but different power supply on that one. it would have been cool if they were interchangeable. still, works great

    The LED light strip is decent. Runs just fine off a normal 2a USB port with no issues. Has a memory so it will turn on the last setting used. But the glue is not good. I have put up quite a few led strips over the years. Comparatively this glue is not good at all. Be prepared to figure out another way to keep these up. Had i know i would have spent a little extra to not have the headache.

    Right after the return window closed these light went super dim and barely light up now. They stick very well and we're easy to install, but now i have to rip them down and repaint my walls. Skip these they are not worth it. No recourse after 30 day return window. Straight in the garbage now.

    I ordered these to have USB powered lights for a background on cam, to avoid the flicker that comes from DC power. I put lights on my baseboards and the edges of a background wall, just to have a subtle luminescence and color that sets me apart better on cam.

    They basically do the job, but they're also a bit disappointing. The highest brightness is dim even for my subtle indirect use.

    The app is also annoying, in that it disconnects frequently and stops paying attention to commands. The power button in the app has an on and off setting, but it really just toggles the lights when connected. So, on and off get swapped easily. Confusingly, this is different from the physical remote, which has separate on and off buttons and you must use on for on and off for off. Clumsy interface.

    The two strips must also be daisy chained, rather than both connecting directly to the power box. I had assumed from the photo that the two branches each powered a strip (I have others like this) but no, the second branch is a mic. This is probably good for some applications, but my power source is in the middle, so I needed one strip going off in each direction.

    Overall, they're meeting my minimal needs, barely, but not elegantly.
