Review of item received Dec. 12, 2025: "Upgraded Manual Tire Changer Duck Head Kit, Silver Cone."
This Duck Head Kit, and Silver Cone fit my ancient, more than 20 year old Princess Auto tire changer with a center column hold down tube diameter of 2.12", perfectly. The only trouble I had was when changing a 265/65R18 light truck tire the arm would hit the tire when mounting the tire back on the rim. Not a big problem, as sliding the arm higher where it slides onto the center column and readjusting the duck head solved the issue. The cone was also the perfect size, just big enough, for GM 1500 pickup rim center hole.
I recommend using the original tire changer bar, that came with your machine, to pry from low on the center column to just above the duck head to reduce stress on the arm and its joints. The welds were all good and I didn't have any trouble. This just seems like a good idea to prevent binding of the duck head and twisting stress on the arm.
I also found that just a light coat of soapy water on the inside edge of the tire bead is enough.
It's really cold in December where I live, and too much water in the tire can cause freezing damage to TPMS sensors, if you have them, and corrosion between the tires and rims.
