    I don’t do a lot of reviews. But I am an RN and my wife has cancer and MS and is disabled. I bought this based on reviews and the product specs, and I needed something that could be a portable hoyer lift. And so far it has been perfect. Transfers between bed to wheelchair, wheelchair to car, and bed to bedside commode are a piece of cake, even compared to much more expensive and complicated hoyer lifts I have used professionally. It folds up neatly and fits across the back seat of my car so that the wheelchair can go into the trunk. It is very stable and sturdy, with an easily adjustable base that can get very wide, and it seems that every aspect of use (such as the comfortable, thick round grips for her to hold while I lift her) are so well thought out that I can’t see much that I can complain about. It is not for bariatric patients, as it has a limit of 280 lbs., but for most use cases it should do just fine. Hopefully its endurance will match its thoughtful design. I will post again about it if something if something comes up, but for now, I recommend it wholeheartedly.

    Your body will thank you! This is a life saver for spouses/caregivers. I wish I purchased a long time ago. It is so easy to setup and is very durable. My husband has Parkinson's and has trouble standing up on his own. My back, shoulders, and neck were taking a beating everyday so I decided to try this. It is so easy to use and it literally transfers him from chair to chair or to bed. It is worth every penny and I highly recommend.

    This lift is sturdily built with heavy steel and is careful designed. - it's simple but highly effective and will work for most instances. The adjustable angle of the legs allows access to many areas that would otherwise not be accessible. Be aware of dimensions. It requires a 26 in wide passage. Our doors are 28 inches but with moulding and the fact that the door cannot swing back 180 degrees the opening is limited to 25.5 inches - the lift couldn't fit couldn't fit through. The other caveat is the width of the seat - it will fit in an 18 in wheelchair bit not in a smaller one (which we use in the house). We worked with tech support on these issues and were very satisfied - response was very quick and very helpful.

    I’m at my wit’s end with this Transfer Lift Chair. I purchased it thinking it would be a great help for my mother, who has serious mobility issues. But this product has been nothing but a nightmare from day one. First off, the functionality is severely lacking. The chair doesn’t move smoothly at all, and trying to reposition it is such a hassle. The wheels don’t roll well on carpet, so if you’re in a home with anything but hard floors, you’re in for a massive struggle. It’s supposed to be a convenient way to transfer someone from one place to another, but it just makes everything ten times harder.
    The build quality is another huge issue. I was expecting a sturdy, well-built product that would stand up to daily use, but what I got was cheap, flimsy, and poorly constructed. The materials feel light and low-quality, and there’s no sense of durability. The frame has sharp edges that scratch and catch on things, and parts of the chair have started to squeak after just a few uses. It doesn’t inspire confidence at all, especially when I’m relying on it for my mom’s safety.
    In terms of comfort, this chair is a disaster. The seat is hard and uncomfortable, and the backrest doesn’t provide adequate support. My mom has complained about back pain every time she’s used it, and I feel guilty every time I put her in it. The whole design is poorly suited for someone who has difficulty sitting upright or adjusting their position. And the straps? They fall apart constantly, making the whole thing even more unsafe.
    The fit is also problematic. The chair is just too bulky and doesn’t easily fit through doorways or next to furniture. I can’t get it close enough to my mom’s bed to help her out in the morning, and that’s one of the main reasons I bought this in the first place. The lack of adjustability means I can’t make it work in the tight spaces of my home, which completely defeats the purpose.
    Finally, let’s talk about value for money. I spent a significant amount of money on this chair, expecting it to provide a reliable and safe way to transfer my mom, but instead, it’s just been a source of frustration. For the price, I expected much better functionality, build quality, comfort, and overall performance. What I got was a product that’s overpriced and underdelivers in every area. Do yourself a favor and avoid this lift chair if you need something that’s actually going to make your life easier.

    I would love to to be able to leave a 5 star review because this product has made it possible for my mother to be free to be out and about. She can't walk or even stand and was not able to invest in a modified vehicle that could transport her in her wheelchair. As a result, she could only travel by ambulance or transport service. This lift was by far the cheapest option. We have been thrilled with the ease and effectiveness of use. We mainly use it for getting in and out of the car but it can be easily used to sit on chairs or to get onto a bed, etc. when a transfer board can't be used due to height differences and other complications. We love this lift!! However, over the last 4 months it has developed a lean and a wobble, causing the front wheel to come off the ground when in use. This makes it difficult to push or turn. We limit the distance we have to use it by getting everything very close but it is getting harder with each use. It appears as though one of the joints is bent and the wheels are too small to compensate. We contacted the company and they have been very helpful and are looking into providing us with a replacement. I hope they can learn from this problem and fix it. If so, this product would be far more than 5 stars.
