I love the game a lot and this movie was a surprise. This was not anything like video game at all same idea concept to stay alive until dawn . This a good horror movie many influences to evil dead films and cabin in the woods and this is very fun n entertaining n enjoyable movie experience

4.0 out of 5 stars I get why they did what they did

I was excited to see this movie. After the first 20 minutes, I was honestly pretty confused by the directorial decisions. But by the end, I understood why this movie is what it is. Directly adapting the source material would have made for a VERY long movie...one that is better experienced in its original video game format, in my opinion. So this movie is best thought of as a prelude to the game. The acting is not exactly Oscar-worthy, but it's passable. The movie really shines in its setpieces and kill segments. It has a genuinely unsettling mood that's punctuated by some pretty creative death sequences. All in all, it's a fun popcorn horror flick that doesn't rely on the viewer having much prior knowledge of the game. Definitely worth at least one viewing.

Good but too much. Too scary. I couldn’t stand it in theaters but looking forward to seeing it again
