This might be our golden opportunity to apprehend the Miami Madman and halt their murderous rampage. All relevant evidence has been gathered for you. Your task is to identify Craig’s murderer regardless or whether it’s the Miami Madman. There are 36 documents in this folder. In addition to the evidence found here, you will also be required to access the internet to uncover further information associated with this case. Your mission is simple: Eliminate as many of the suspects as possible, so that we cand find Craigs Killer and bring them to justice.

    I think there should be a little more guidance to get you started. In the intro it says when you think you know who killed Craig Flint then go to cryptickillers.com/miami-killer. So we waited hours before even accessing this important tool. I think going there right at the beginning to start with the Hint “Where to start”, is the way it should be framed and planned. WE found it hard to get through all the material as a group - reading individually not efficient or even fun - reading to each other can be painful too. The first hint tells you how to approach it, by grouping which piece applies to which suspect (or victim), suggests creating a table with headings in order to organize all the evidence/materials. All these help, then you read that piece of evidence together but you are guided and not reading endlessly long statements stories with zero context. So to the makers please, make it part of the instructions to go to the first Hint on how to begin. I lost many of my players because it was too unorganized and they got bored and dropped out, actually tried to do it twice with 2 difference groups and then when we finally went to the web page, supposedly only for when you have a guess, we found a way forward. Not cheating or wanting it to go fast but wanting to be organized and have everyone feel like they were a part of the process and engaged in the material as we pull it together. I do think a huge prop like a white board or chalk board would be an amazing way to create your own ‘murder board’, its hard to keep track of characters without putting it up somewhere we can all see as we think through the evidence etc. At lease a table on a large piece of paper everyone can see would help, or someone making a spreadsheet on a laptop and mirroring on a TV.

    Otherwise the mystery was brilliant - for those of us who hung in there - we loved it, but mostly after we looked at some of the hints.

This was very well thought-out and when I went to put in my answer online, I didn't even have all of the information I wanted to have in my head, but because the evidence and every part of the game was so well thought out I was confident enough to figure it out after only having reviewed the evidence.
