Unscented and natural ingredients, but actually lathers properly (contains SLES)
This soap has no detectable scent, is made with natural ingredients, and actually lathers properly… other natural soaps I’ve used have limited lathering capability, so I’m pleased to see this. With that said, the #2 ingredient is sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) – this is a foaming/lathering agent which is a known irritant. This is not an unusual ingredient in soaps, but I was surprised to see its inclusion in a soap marketed at being natural and gentle. When the soap is rinsed off, it doesn’t leave our hands feeling dry. The soap is fairly thin/watery – I like this because thicker soaps tend to stick to the outlet of our dispensers and drip onto the counter; that is not an issue with this soap. The 4L refill box includes an easy-to-use plastic spout which allows you to refill small pumps without using a funnel. No scissors are needed to get into the packaging, and the spout is well designed to protect against inadvertently pouring soap. Overall, although we really like this soap, I find the price too high for our future consideration.

    I have some nasty allergies that have wreaked havoc with my skin. This soap is non irritating, perfume free, not just unscented. It is the only soap that I can use and doesn't make me want to scratch my skin off. Lathers very well, rinses easily. Excellent product, highly recommended.

    This scentless hand soap is great for my sensitive skin as an all-purpose shower and hand soap refill, but a lot more expensive than the all-purpose soap (which I do not recommend because it's extremely watery - I literally cannot imagine it being used for any purpose without aggravation at how diluted it is). I was surprised that this $40 box was a lot smaller than the $40 box for the all-purpose soap. But I guess I didn't notice the amount it would be because I assumed that it would be the same size as the all-purp box! Alas no. But it's still a really great soap and probably still works out to be cheaper in bulk.
