This 5 pack needles are compatible with her record player so it's good but I wish it was better packaged inside a box or container, although the needles were wrapped with soft foams.

    The 5 pack of Stylus arrives in a Cardboard Envelope. Inside is a Plastic Bag, which contains five smaller Bags, each of which contains one Stylus protected by a Plastic Cover. There is also some protective material to cushion the Stylus.

    I am replacing the Stylus on an unbranded Record Player probably from about 1995. This didn’t go to plan as the Cartridge came away along with the Stylus from the Arm. I swap the Old Stylus for the New One. And then struggle to re-attach the Cartridge to the Arm, it Clips in it seems. Hard to work out as the Arm could not be lifted very high.

    I was hoping the new Stylus would solve the issue of Sound only coming out of one of the Two Speakers. But it didn’t, so I guess the Cartridge needs replacing too. I encounter Skipping and Echo of nearby Grooves on the New Stylus. I test both Stylus by playing “LET IT BE” from a Vintage Vinyl Beatles LP.

    I then put the Old Stylus back in to compare, not removing the Cartridge this time. I also play another LP with a Microgroove, playing time of 50-60 mins, and this is where I encountered the Skipping but this may be a limitation of Stylus such as these.

    Less Skipping is encountered on the Second Installation of the New Stylus. Maybe I did a better job this time. It is hard to compare because the old Stylus had had it, so I guess it’s an improvement but I am not sure what this Echo is, unless it would not have been noticeable if the other Speaker had been working or not I don’t know. It is not very Loud at all, but that could be the Cartridge or possibly even the Amplifier. Comparing the Test Recording I made of “LET IT BE” from both Styluses. It is hard to tell any difference between them.

    These Stylus are cheap, so what can one expect, the Record Players Stylus like these are used in, are well known for not being kind to records, but that is not the point here, it does the Job I suppose, but it is hard to judge. They are New, so I must be an improvement on the nearly 30 year old Stylus that was in it.

    I also played an entire LP with the new Stylus, it was mostly fine, through with some issues with Echo on one side, which may or may not be relayed to the Stylus.
