The material is good, it's made of metal which adds some weight making it easier to spin and flip. However make sure that you also buy some lubricant in advance. Within a week of getting it, it started squeaking, with the added friction causing inconsistent rotations when flipping. The handle lock also started out tight but has since become so loose that it no longer works at all. It's decent enough to keep, but I wouldn't buy it again if it broke.

Honestly, not too impressed. Even through it is “screwless”, the Pins in the handles can wiggle out a bit and get loose over time. As expected, the tang pins came loose, as will all amazon butterfly trainers but still haven’t come out yet. Maybe it’s cause Of the poor casting job they did with the pins left some some residue that won’t go through with the pin, but I’m not entirely sure. It’s a good weight, but if you’ve been using smaller a lighter combs on amazon then you might need to get used to the weight. Spring latch works fine, and I like it except for one thing; it squeaks. A lot. Almost every time I hear a small squeak. It does not bother me personally, but it does remove the natural metal clang of the tang pins as the only noise you hear. Honestly, this has lasted me 2 weeks and I’m only decently impressed. It came in nice packaging, almost exact benchmade box with a benchmade pouch. The trainer came with benchmade trademarks, but it’s not actually benchmade. That company does not make trainers, and does not sell 20$ products. If you’re low on money and you want a trainer, this is a great choice. But if you want something that will last a few years, invest around 50$CAD and get a bear ops trainer or some other reputable brand. (I don’t know many balisong brands, don’t count on me for information).
