The FitStill 196FT/60M Underwater Waterproof is compatible with a DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro Action, 4 Action and 3 - The package comes with the case, a screw that attaches to a stick and then some small defogging sheets. The case is VERY well made and is a thick hard plastic with again a very well-made spring action connector that closes it at the top, I was actually very impressed with the quality of how the housing is made. I have the DJI Action 5 and it fits perfectly in the case, it is fully clear, so you don't have to worry about the case distorting any pictures or videos and the buttons work well to activate and use the camera inside. One thing to note is that the DJI Action 5 in my case by itself with no housing is waterproof and can be used up to 20M which is approx. 65ft so you don't need to have a waterproof housing around the camera to use it however the case itself is rated for 60M or approx. 196ft which is probably way more than the average person would ever use however if you're a diver this is helpful so you can go deep but wanted to point that out. Even although my camera doesn't require a waterproof case and is very rugged by itself, I like to have the added protection especially when traveling to ensure that nothing happens to the actual camera if it was dropped etc. I can confirm that the case definitely is waterproof - it creates a fantastic seal and the fact that they provide you with little defogging sheets is interesting - Overall for the $29 this is a very affordable and great option to ensure that your action camera stays in good condition and is worth getting.

    As someone who owns three DJI Action Cam 4 units, I'm always on the lookout for reliable accessories that don’t break the bank—and this underwater housing has absolutely delivered. It’s nearly identical to DJI’s official case but at a much more affordable price, and in terms of function and build, it holds up incredibly well.

    The fit is precise—it locks the camera in snugly without forcing it, and once closed, the seal feels rock-solid. The snap closures are tight, which is exactly what you want when you're taking your camera down to serious depths. I haven’t gone all the way to the claimed 60 meters yet, but based on the seal integrity and how much pressure it takes to open or close, I believe it could handle it.

    Button controls through the case are firm and responsive. You won’t get touchscreen access once it’s sealed up, but that’s expected. You can still toggle between video and photo modes and power the camera on/off with the side button, and the top button serves for shutter/recording. Just make sure to dial in your settings before you go underwater because there's no navigating menus once you're down there.

    The build quality is impressive—durable without being bulky. It mounts cleanly to my existing accessories without issue, and the included anti-fog inserts are a great bonus. They’ve done a good job preventing lens fog, especially in colder or more humid environments.

    I use these cases for diving, snorkeling, and sometimes just rugged wet conditions on shoots. All three of my Action 4s are protected in one of these, and I haven’t had a single problem.

    Bottom line: if you’re running a DJI Action Cam 4 and plan to shoot in wet or underwater conditions, this case is a no-brainer. Durable, dependable, and a fantastic value compared to the OEM option.

    The DJI Action 5 on its own has a waterproof rating of IP68. That means that theoretically it should be waterproof to a depth of 20 metres. The key word here is “theoretically”. Do you really want to take your $600 camera (with usb ports covered with just a small rubber flap) underwater? I don’t. That said, there is a whole world of wonderful underwater adventures to be shot. Oh, what to do?

    That’s were the FitStill 196FT/60M underwater waterproof case comes in. Let’s unpack it.
    The clear plastic case feels sturdy. It’s thick. The first thing I noticed was a bubble directly in front of where the lens of my Action 5 would be perched. “That’s a deal breaker” I thought. Then I realized that I was just dumb. The bubble was because the lens area and the rear of the case are covered with a clear plastic removable film. Be sure to remove it. Now everything looks good. Let’s put the camera in and see if it works. The directions for use are printed on the outside of the box. In those directions it clearly says that if using an Action 5 you must remove the silicone ring around the lens on your camera for it to fit in the case. I sure wish I had have read that first. I was frustrated. The back would not shut. Then I read the directions. Don’t be like me. Read them first.

    Yes, you must remove the silicon ring around the lens of your Action 5. After you do that, the fit is perfect. Snug as it should be and all buttons work. The magnetic quick release worked perfectly. I put the camera underwater for about 10 minutes, took it out and it was perfectly dry inside. I didn’t have any fogging issues, but it was kind of the manufacturer to include a few anti fog pouches that you are supposed to put inside the case to prevent fogging. Honestly, I’m not sure how you would fit them inside.

    Here’s my synopsis on this case: It’s tough. It feels well constructed. It’s 100% waterproof. The lens area is clean and scratch free and doesn’t not affect video quality at all. You will need to be careful not to scratch it as this type of plastic has a tendency to scratch easily. I do wish you didn’t have to remove the silicone ring in order to fit the camera mainly because I feel like if I keep having to do that, I’m going to lose it. They could have made the case just a little bigger to accommodate the ring. Whatever. It’s not a deal breaker. Also, be aware that if you are using the internal mic on your Action 5 the Audio is going to be very muddy and muted. That’s not the manufacturer’s fault. It’s because you are putting it in a case. It kind of reminds me of how my old Go-Pro used to sound all the time. In most cases, (see what I did there?) underwater audio isn’t all that important.

    Overall, priced at about $30 (at the time of my order) I think this is a really good product. Well made. Another tool to throw in your gadget bag. I recommend this product.

    Overall, priced at about $30 (at the time of my order) I think this is a really good product. Well made. Another tool to throw in your gadget bag. I recommend this product.

    I haven't yet dived with this - update coming in a couple of months.

    However this unit looks great. I love the integrated mounts, this unit will sit flat if you want it to - which is fantastic.
    I love that there is amount on the side - I tend to dive with my arms across my body to control lines, for warmth, to reduce unnecessary movement - so having a side mount for a handle is fabulous.

    I have a K&F polarizer lens on the camera - it fits in the slot perfectly. I haven't fiddled with the standard lens cover and removing the rubber ring which others have alluded to.

    Two things I'd love on this - but no other unit seems to have them, so perhaps this is just nit-picking.

    1) I'd love a lens cap! This thing is going to get tossed into a dive bag, beaches have sand, this thing is outdoors - I would really REALLY appreciate a simple dumb 5 cent piece of rubber I could attach over the protruding lens cover. Sure, its tempered glass, but its really vulnerable. It comes with a bit of plastic over that protrusion to protect it in transit to me, but that was the easy part of its journey. A lens cap so I don't have to now figure out how to protect my protective case would be great. I don't know why these aren't included as standard, but none of the housing units seem to have this.

    2) I'd love a strap loop. Sure, I can attach a magnetic connector and then have a loop attached to that - but why not just make room for this?

    Not knocking any stars off - because no one else seems to have this.
