Okay so I bought this on a whim thinking I’d use it once or twice… and now it lives in my bag.

The magnet is crazy strong — like, I actually trust it with my phone. It snaps on super quick and doesn’t budge, even when I’m walking around or turning the stick in weird angles to get that “effortless candid” look 😅.

The tripod function is a game changer. I’ve used it for group shots, solo travel pics, even Zoom calls when I’m too lazy to prop my phone up with a coffee mug.

Folds up small, feels sturdy, charges fast if it has Bluetooth remote (mine does), and honestly just makes taking pics/videos way easier. I’ve even used it to record lifting sets at the gym (yes, I’m that person now).

This camera tripod is extremely unstable and tips over far too easily. The design is poorly thought out, with a center of gravity that sits way too high off the ground, making it feel unsafe from the moment you attach your phone.

It’s also not flexible or adjustable enough to compensate for this flaw. Using this with an expensive iPhone feels like an accident waiting to happen. Do not risk damaging your phone — stay away from this tripod.

This is a compact selfie stick / phone tripod / BT trigger.

The unit has a telescopic pole that is tension based... just pull it out and in .. no lock. The bottom has a tripod leg pop out with a threaded locking mechanism (red ring lock). The mount is a magsafe compatible magnet. On the shaft of the stick theres a little bluetooth based camera trigger which also comes off (magnetic too) so you can trigger the camera remotely. The trigger just uses a coincell cr1632 3v battery and is paired to your phone by pressing and holding the trigger button long... find a bt input device called "Ulanzi". Nothing in the manual tells you this... but if you know tech stuff its pretty self explanatory. The trigger just sends a VOL DOWN command to your phone..... so that means your camera app needs to be setup to fire the shutter when VOL DOWN button is pressed on your phone, or from remote bt trigger.

It's a very robust feeling selfie stick. Definitely more chunky than other sticks out there , mainly because it also has a tripod base so you can take family shots from afar and remotely trigger them. I think the biggest worry here is that your magsafe phone BETTER BE reinforced with a magsafe ring. For example, when i put my iphone bare... it was kind of weak --- the magsafe magnetic link is somewhat worrisome that the phone will just fall down when something bumps it. I used my magsafe ring reinforced case and the magnetic attraction was much more strong and felt more secure from falling off. If you dont have a magsafe case, then you can easily buy a magsafe ring adhesive on amazon to help with the strength.
I highly recommend making sure your phone is sticking to the mount securely lest it falls off and damages your phone.

The overall impression for me is good. BT trigger works great. telescopic pole is stiff and keeps its desired length. the legs are sturdy enough to keep the phone standing upright for group shots. Everything built well.
