Overall, this USB C hub from UGREEN does work, you can use it as a dock for a single HDMI monitor, charger, mouse, keyboard, etc. However, there are a couple of flaws:

1. The 2 USB-C ports it has don't support video, even though one is 5gbps. So if you were planning to connect 2 monitors, this hub will not work.
2. When you unplug the charger, it glitches for a moment, causing the attached devices to reset. This will affect the windows on your screen, as well as any other devices that could be hindered by a momentary disruption.

this usb junction was working fine for few months and suddenly stopped working, i tried to hook up different cables to if any of them working but none worked, the scary part happened when i unplugged the usb cable from my pc saw a small flame with smoke and my computer quickly notified me of surge protection, thanks goodness that the usb port my case still functional and my MOBO is still alive. Ugreen was my one of fav brands but i am hesitant to buy any of their other products in the future.

I bought this for my Mac as it only has USB-C slots at the rear of the device making it difficult to at times plug in a charge cable or to use other than USB-C cables. This is very handy so that I can now have a permanent connection to the back of my device, so that I can access my memory cards and charge via USB-C and USB-A cables. Speeds and charge time are good and cable is long enough to plug into one of USB-C slots at the back of the Mac with this hub still being able to sit flatly on the desk.
