If you don't have a USB-C port on your system this is the way to get 2.5 Gig speeds on a super speed USB3.0 connection.

Works very well. I bought 2 (USB TYPE-A), one for Linux (Ubuntu 22.04) and Windows 11. No driver downloads were needed for Linux with newer kernel, but for Windows I needed to get the latest Realtek driver to get better performance. I'm seeing 280MB/s in Windows 11 with SMB and 310MB/s in Linux with CIFS to/from via SAMBA enabled NAS, which is amazing coming from plain old gigabit speed.

The adapter feels of high quality and doesn't get hot, from my usage so far. It's been stable, no hiccups. I've had it for a couple of weeks.
