The Nexode 500W GaN Fast Charging Station from UGREEN is a piece of business-grade equipment that provides up to 240W of PD 3.1 charging for one laptop and 60W to 5 additional connected laptops or devices. Perfect for that boardroom conference table. It also features a legacy USB-A port for lower-wattage charging needs, such as iPhones, iPads, or AirPods. Another user case scenario I can envision is a content creator with multiple devices, such as laptops, cameras, lighting equipment, or tablets, that require higher wattage power simultaneously. Given the premium price of this charging station and its extremely high specifications, I believe it may be over-spec'd for most users; however, it will certainly future-proof your charging needs if you plan to upgrade your hardware.

As with most products from UGREEN, the build quality is second to none, with the reliability of a name-brand device that is also electrically certified. The Nexode 500W GaN Fast Charging station is relatively compact, and the 6.6ft power cable is robust, comparable to that of a high-powered PC or Mac. If you own a high-end Asus ROG Zephyrus gaming laptop or a MacBook Pro that can draw up to 240W, then this may be the perfect match for you. Otherwise, you may find the UGREEN Nexode 300W or 200W models more suitable for your needs.

An easy recommended buy for power users with matching hardware or in a corporate environment where multiple users can connect 60W to 240W laptops or devices simultaneously.

I ordered this beast of a 500 watt charger from UGreen because I wanted one that could charge all my drones and my laptop as well as 2 phones and my remote controls . Basically my entire drone flying kit at once. I was skeptical but this brick does it.

The unit is 500 watts . It comes with instructions. A heavy duty plug that looks like it can power a PC and the heavy brick of a charger .

It has one 250 watt ultra fast charging USB-C port on top . Which I use to charge my 17 inch Lg gram laptop . It charges it as fast as the regular charger . It has four 100 watt ports USB-C ports under that . Which I use to charge my DJI smart drone battery packs and the controllers. It also has a regular old school USB port on the bottom. Which I have a cordless charger plugged into to charge my Pixel phone with on my desk .

The charger dies get a bit warm with everything plugged in but not hot enough to worry. It has built in safety features for tipping over and overheating as well as smart features to identify whatever power is needed for each device. Honestly it is pretty heavy. I don't think it will tip over .

I put mine on my desk . Looks nice . Works amazing. It replaced 3 charger bricks that I was using. I can totally recommend it for people who need fast charging and lots of power without messing around . It's pretty awesome. Thanks

OK not unlimited since there's a 500W max, but that's what it feels like when you've plugged in your 5th laptop and there's still room to fast-charge your phone. As you can tell from the specs, this thing is beast, both on the amount of devices that it can handle and also on the weight. However, if you compare it to have a power bar with 5 laptop power bricks plus your phone's charger, then the size and weight really seem like a big saving of space.

The charging station was a great solution for a workshop in a community space where this allowed everything to work together with minimum set up requirements. It would also be great for a dedicated team working space, or for a single workstations if you're really rocking too many high power devices.

There are other UGREEN alternatives for lower power draw use cases, but having 6 GaN chips quietly providing power without major temperature spikes or issues to a full team is a great use for this station. Just be sure to get several cables rated for 100W and of course a main 240W cable to make the most of this.

This really turns the power up to 11! This is the only power bank that I know of that you can plug a laptop into *any* plug and expect it to run full power. While I’ve never been able to get even my gaming machine to pull more than 100W, I did manage 96W on startup from this adapter; I don’t have anything that comes close to the 240W advertised for the main plug to even try to max it out.

It is also HEAVY. My standard practice of using VHB tape to attach these discreetly to the back of my desk probably won’t work with this one. It’s probably a lot lighter and smaller than a 500W PSU for a desktop computer, though.

Like most multi-port plugs, there are limits to how much power you can get out of any plug under specified conditions; the manual shows about 25 different configurations of how amperage will be adjusted, depending on the draw on the other ports. Unlike other power supplies, those “smaller” wattages are all in excess of 60W, more than enough for any serious USB-PD user (provided you actually have a device pulling 240W; otherwise, you can get up to 4 - 100W devices on the secondary plugs at the same time if that primary plug is vacant!)

Being as big as it is, it would be best under-slung on a desk, if you have the ability to do that. Otherwise this will take up a significant footprint. You may also want to keep a smaller power supply around for low-drain devices.

This charger is massive and heavy, like almost as heavy as my Mac Studio desktop computer. It is kind of ridiculous sitting on a desktop in a professional office situation, so maybe better for a workshop environment where cable mess isn't a big deal, because the number of cables sticking out from it makes it unsightly. So I've tucked it inside of a power strip box and leave it on the floor. Shame, really, as the device is pretty nice looking. It's solidly built but again, it's very heavy as far as USB-C chargers go. I'm torn on the necessity of needing a single USB-C port that supplies 240w as the most power hungry device I have is a MacBook Pro at 140w. Also, only three devices can have simultaneous 100w outputs, the rest of the ports are lower wattage but still enough for most Power Delivery 3.1 devices such as small camera batteries. At over $200 I'm not sure it's worth it for things like camera and gadget charging stations. It's probably better for things like e-bike batteries or more industrial USB-C devices that are power hungry (nothing I have is like that).

What we love:
It is super powerful and silent —it has been working (with no issues) for a couple weeks now. With the appropriate charging cables it reaches the promised watts. We are grateful that it still includes UBS-As as some of our smaller and older items will only charge with that and not with the USB-Cs.

The included cable is quite beefy and feels and seems durable as does the machine which has a good weight to it.

What a prospect buyer should know:
The item, while compact, is in no way small, so if you are considering this for your travel needs ...you may wish to look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a charging tower that will be placed at a permanent or semi-permanent area this guy will definetly meet your needs.

UGREEN tends to make quite good products, although, they have had a few slips lately. However, we are happy to report that this item, so far, feels and acts like the UGREEN we have been used to. Yes, it is on the expensive side but it should last you a while.
