It's not plug-and-play for a couple reasons.
You have to disable your existing Bluetooth devices first; it can't work along side an existing BT device. The driver fails with an error. They tell you to disable Intel-based BT drivers first, but my system has a Qualcomm driver, so the directions would confuse anyone who isn't tech savvy. I have like 50 devices listed in my Bluetooth device manager, and finding the right one could be challenging.
You then have to remove all your existing Bluetooth connected devices and then re-add them to the new BT device. It's a hassle, and while it's partially Windows' fault, it was advertised as Plug and Play.
I have a LOT of Bluetooth devices connected, and this dongle only supports a few at a time, so I'm unsure if it will meet my needs.
I have no way to test how well BT 6 works.
I bought it based on the reviews, but now on retrospect, nearly all the reviews are biased. I feel cheated.
I'm giving the product still 5/5 stars, as the product is working and it would be unfair to blame the engineers of this product for the disappointing efforts of the marketing team.
