I am getting back into the watercolor painting hobby (possibly as a paid artist, but that's TBD). From everything I've read, the two biggest things that make a big difference in the quality of your work are good paints and good paper. I had ordered a good paint set from 鶹 along with this order and decided on this reasonably-priced paper block. At fifteen dollars for fifty sheets, it worked out to about thirty cents per page -- great for practice work. I'm not sure if this is hot-pressed or cold-pressed, but the paper feels fairly smooth, not bumpy or rough, so I'm going to guess it's hot-pressed. Still, it's quite good quality. The paper is thick, almost as thick as cardstock. Paints dry within about ten minutes, with plenty of time to do color blending with watercolor. There is a little bit of warping after drying, but nowhere near as much as you would see with cheaper, lighter paper. For beginners and students, this is more than good enough. I'm very happy with the results I'm seeing so far. Highly recommended!
