Product works but the grips are not open enough for a phone with a case with any thickness. I can just about scrunch my phone in place, but it did fall off once. Case has a flip up in back that causes this. I may modify the unit to hold my phone better or put a rubber band around it.
Update-Item was returned after it fell off dashboard because the adhesive failed after two weeks and it could not be stuck back again. Very slight curve to dashboard may have caused this and it is possible that this would work on a totally flat surface.

Mount fails to stay on dash or window. Applied the mount as directed to the window and it worked for about a week, then fell off. I washed the pad, re-applied, and let it sit while I went into the office. By the time I came back 8 hours later the mount had fallen off. I tried again with the same result. A shame, because it makes the device unusable! (For the first week it worked great. I could get it located just right, viewable but out of my driving sightline.)

I've read the reviews claiming that "it does stick", or, "falls off".. well, not quite. It's absolutely (!!) very difficult to remove!! It's like glue not just a rubber suction cup. There's some real stick stuff on the cup that marries it to the window. Be careful removing it. It does come off but not without the struggle. I don't use it on the dash or other surfaces but it may not stick as well as it will on the glass. It can be maneuvered into positions that are not fixed (the clicking sound when turning). Has a ball joint and fasteners to jeep it in place, vertical/horizontal. The plastic rubbery suction cup versions are the ones that fall off all the time. Especially when the glass is cold. But it but prepare for the super glue suction cup removal procedure. Practice, you'll be good.
