Scent Beads for the Laundry
TRUEARTH in-wash scent booster was designed to be used along with the TRUEARTH laundry strips. I tested the Lavender Bliss scent beads along with a low scent laundry detergent I had on hand. The packaging is all recyclable. Every bit of it. The concentrated scent beads are small things that stuck to my hand. They suggest you put the amount you wish to use in the paper cap and throw into the washing machine along with your detergent. I used a minimal amount of the beads because excessive scents can give me headaches. I’d start slow because you can always add more on subsequent washing loads. The beads smell of lavender but are not a true replication of real lavender essential oil. It also smelled a bit sweet. Do not pick up this product by the top, because you could easily end up with a mess. That paper cap is not firmly on the container. The scent is supposed to last up to 12 weeks long. The product is free of phthalates and parabens. I only used a small amount of the beads and there was a discernible smell when I took my towels off the line. The beads dissolved completely.

    True Earth is a brand I already value for their laundry detergents, so I decided to give their in-wash scent booster a try. The product comes as small pellets packaged in cardboard, which helps reduce plastic waste, which is a detail I really appreciate. The cap also functions as a measuring tool, which is helpful if you are unsure how much to use per load.

    I simply put some beads directly in my washing machine with my clothes and detergent. This is super easy to use. After the wash cycle, I noticed there was no residue left behind in the machine or on the clothes. The scent on wet clothes is nice, but once they are dry, it is even more noticeable, in the best way. The scent definitely lingers on clothes. I do not usually go for floral scents, so I was a little hesitant at first, but this one is very subtle on the floral side. It just smells clean, which I really enjoy. It is not overpowering at all. It simply enhances the freshness of the laundry.

    I also appreciate that it is formulated without many harmful ingredients. Since I have sensitive skin, I am always cautious with new products, but I experienced no irritation or itching from using these scent boosters.

    J’étais enthousiaste à l’idée d’essayer ce rehausseur de parfum pour lessive.

    Le parfum est plus sucré, rappelant les bonbons, que la lavande classique, mais il reste très agréable.
    Étant assez difficile en matière de senteurs, j’ai apprécié sa fraîcheur légère et non envahissante.

    Le produit est simple à utiliser : il suffit d’en saupoudrer un peu dans la machine à laver en utilisant le bouchon doseur. Les perles se dissolvent bien, que ce soit à l’eau chaude ou froide, ce qui est très pratique. J’apprécie également le fait qu’il soit végan et sans colorants ni produits chimiques agressifs, ce qui le rend adapté aux peaux sensibles.

    Cependant, le parfum ne tient pas aussi longtemps que je l’espérais. Il est perceptible juste après le lavage, surtout si vous faites sécher à l’air libre ou avec un léger passage au sèche-linge, mais il s’estompe rapidement. De plus, le format est assez petit pour le prix, ce qui peut ne pas être très économique si vous faites beaucoup de lessives.

    En résumé, c’est un bon produit pour une utilisation occasionnelle ou pour des lessives spéciales, mais si vous recherchez un parfum durable, il vaut peut-être mieux envisager d’autres options.

    These scent booster beads work very well. The scent is refreshing with a calming aroma of lavender. The beads are easy to use. I added a scoop of the lavender-scented booster into the washing machine along with my regular detergent before starting the cycle. The booster dissolved quickly and efficiently, leaving a pleasant and long-lasting fragrance that enhanced the freshness of my laundry. The scent is not overpowering but lingers on the fabric, infusing my clothes with a subtle yet luxurious fragrance that lasts throughout the day. The beads are dye-free and did not cause any discolouration of the clothes. The beads are paraben-free and also free from other harsh synthetic chemicals. After using these scent boosting beads, my laundry comes out smelling fresh and clean, and after washing clothes felt smoother and more comfortable against my skin.

    I started using these scent boosters to keep my laundry smelling nicer for longer, and it actually works. Even weeks after washing, my clothes still have a light lavender scent that’s not overpowering but definitely noticeable. It’s a nice change from the usual detergent smells that fade quickly.

    I also like that the packaging is plastic-free—it feels good to use something that’s a bit more eco-friendly without having to sacrifice how well it works. The formula is gentle too, and I haven’t had any skin irritation even with sensitive skin.
