Current Measurement Rings
When connected between the 120V AC wall outlet and the device under test, a clamp meter can be clamped around one of the two test openings in the ET200. One opening provides a one-to-one current reading; the other provides a times-ten (x10) reading so that small current will display with better resolution on your clamp meter.
Easy-to-Read, Dual-Side Fault Charts
Easy-to-read fault label each side, designed for receptacles with ground up or ground down installation. Lights display 5 wiring faults: Open Ground, Open Neutral, Hot/Ground Reverse, Open Hot, Hot/Neutral Reverse.
Simple Push-Button Outlet Tester
For use on 110-125 VAC receptacles. Test GFCI receptacles for proper operation and detect faulty wiring in 3-wire receptacles.

Applications
Combines two useful and necessary tools for residential and commercial electricians, home inspectors, kitchen and bath installers, apartment/condo property managers, DIY'ers and handymen.

Very handy
- Reviewed in Canada on January 5, 2025Verified PurchaseGreat splitter with more functions - GFCI and line tester.
You may run to the issue however - if you have clamp meter with larger size of the clamp - it will not fit to the 1x slot.
Work around would be to use x10 slot and divide results by 10 to get the readings.
Other than that - great addition to the toolbox
- Reviewed in Canada on October 14, 2024Verified PurchaseHelps see if a product is drawing proper current without cutting cord. Has 1X and 10X openings for ammeter. Must have for technician

- Reviewed in Canada on December 7, 2024Verified PurchaseGreat affordable tool to have in the electrical kit to help determine AC surge voltages that appliance and motor manufacturers NEVER mention but are vital to whether many off grid inverters can handle the appliance load such as for a vacuum cleaner, refrigerator, microwave oven, water pump and so on. No need to split the appliance AC wires (who does that anyway?) and guessing at the surge voltage or watts is not ideal, whereas this device with an appropriate clamp meter that measures AC Surges gives one accurate data. Cheap inverters (High Frequency / Low Cost) are notorious for giving vague specs and leave new off gridders scratching their heads wondering why does the inverter shut down or not even start when running an appliance? This device with an AC surge measuring clamp meter will measure the start up or surge load to provide data and call out the BS of inverter marketing and lies. HIGHLY Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Carrying On The 120 Year Triplett Tradition. (Plus hole measurements. Make sure your clamp fits.)
Verified PurchaseTriplett, and Simpson are two hallowed names in electrical and electronic test equipment. I owned a Triplett V.O.M. back in the early 1960's, and Triplett was already a nearly 60 year old company at that time. The company was founded in 1904 by Charles E. Triplett. I still own, and occasionally use, a Simpson 260GP meter from that era, along with some Triplett panel meters that were made during World War II. Both companies products were always unusually well made and engineered. This line splitter carries on the tradition. It offers great value as well as it offers a GFCI tester along with checking receptacle wiring, for just a few dollars more than a plain no-name line splitter of questionable virtue. This one also has all the approvals and certifications.. The built-in outlet is in fact an actual discrete part, not simply prongs molded into the plastic case with wires soldered on as found in some of the no-name products I've seen.
Subjectively, the Triplett ET200 feels really solid, and feels very comfortable when held in one's hand. It is a pleasure to use.
A number of reviewers have commented that the 1X hole is too small. That may be, as this line splitter is marketed for use with Triplett products. However, I can confirm that it will at least fit the following non-Triplett models:
Klein CL220
Amprobe RS-3 Ultra (The classic clamp-on ammeter!)
Sperry Snap 6 (And other Sperry Snap series models)
KAiWEETS KC604
TESMEN TCM300A
Specifically, the hole measures: 28mm (1-7/64 in.) x 20mm (25/32 in.)
Bottom line:
If this will fit your clamp-on Ammeter, buy it without hesitation.
If this will not fit your clamp-on Ammeter, but another clamp meter!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfectly with an Amprobe ACDC-52NAV clamp on ammeter
Verified PurchaseI am very pleased with my purchase because this line splitter works perfectly with my Amprobe ACDC-52NAV clamp on ammeter. This splitter opening accepts my ammeter's clamp arms without difficulty AND the splitter's voltage test holes accept the Amprobe ACDC-52NAV test leads perfectly. This makes measuring power factor quite simple. I am not sure how well this splitter will work with other ammeters.
