good value, has all the parts and hardware to change the slash version 1 to a modern version, very pleased, one tip is if you add on sway bar kit, thread the screws in before installing(with bare chassis)makes it easier to mount without offsetting the threads, or on a angle. plus a genuine traxxas product
5.0 out of 5 starsTraxxas Slash perfect as always with everything you need in one bag.

Excellent stuff, been wrenching on slashes long enough don't need instructions but the diagram is pretty clear. People hate on Traxxas but this is yet another super well engineered set with all the hardware. All the other supposed 'better' brands won't even give you new screws with a part, they offer another part number for the darn screws. It's a bit embarrassing at times how cheap they really are. I have all the other brands too, Traxxas is by far the best with parts by a mile.
As anyone will tell you, fantastic upgrade for any slash 4x4, and the LCG slash can be made into so many other variants, monster trucks, buggies, rally and even street versions. Just did another one of these for an old salty 13yo slash getting some makeover love this spring. This set is anything but expensive, it's an exceptional value.

Makes the Slash handle much better! Came with everything needed to complete install. I preferred some YouTube videos versus the instructions that came in the package. The servo horn is different from HCG chassis.
5.0 out of 5 starsSlash becomes a much more stable RC truck

This kit includes everything...except directions. Fortunately there is at least one You Tube video that goes through the process step by step. $75 and no instructions? Shame on Traxxas. Once installed, the Slash becomes a much better racer. Fewer flips when cornering. You do give up chassis clearance, but if you are running this on grass, clay, dirt, pavement, the decreased bottom clearance is a great trade off for a better handling RC truck. I believe it can be found for less $$$ from other sources, but I needed it ASAP, so paid the price.
4.0 out of 5 starsGood quality, doesn’t solve all problems.

It is a well made product. Instructions are straightforward and construction seems very durable so far. However, I was hoping that this kit would fix the problem I was having with the stock chassis where I was unable to use the full steering throw because part of the steering linkage was contacting the driveshaft. This kit relocates both the steering servo and drive shaft to lower positions, but I still have the same problem of the steering linkage contacting the drive shaft. It has ground down almost 50% of the head of the linkage and is now eating into the screw that is holding the two linkage halves together. I’m going to do more research and see if there’s a third party or DIY modification that will fix this. Other than that, I am very happy with how the car handles in fast, sweeping corners now. No more tipping over and doing cartwheels into the wall at the track while going 45 mph!
