This is a pair of flood lights that has built in motion sensor located at the center of the light bulb. They have E26 sockets, with protective covers to protect the sockets during shipping. They have plastic shell and light weighted. From the front light diffuser, I can see there are yellow LED beads inside. They are each at 2000 lumens and 5000K which is much brighter than most commonly used 800 lumens LED bulbs.
What makes them unique is that they have motion sensors located at the center of the light diffuser. So, these flood lights can turn non-motion sensor light fixtures into motion sensor light fixtures without any modification to light fixtures.
Of course, they only turn on when ambient light is low or at night due to build-in dusk to dawn sensor.
Not sure about their durability but I am expecting that they have the same life span as normal LED lights.

These motion sensor flood lights work great. The motion sensors have approximately 120-degree range and 15 feet motion detection with 5000k brightness. Having a built-in motion sensor right in the center of the bulb is a great design. It saves having to install a new light fixture. Using the bulbs outside in a covered area and they work great.

The Torkase motion sensing floodlight works but has some significant issues. It continuously keeps turning on or stays on even when there is no motion in the area. Additionally, if the neighbor turns on their lights, the ambient light they produce prevents the floodlight from turning on, even though the area around our house is dark.

Overall, I'm not very happy with these lights as they did not work for my situation. I also put them on my wattage meter, which I have confirmed to be fairly accurate, and these lights consume a maximum of 16.2 watts, falling slightly below their 20-watt rating. Despite this, they are actually decently bright but definitely not as bright as claimed.

Some additional observations:

False Activations: The lights frequently activate without any apparent motion, which can be quite frustrating.

Light Sensitivity: The floodlight’s sensor seems overly sensitive to ambient light from neighboring houses, causing it not to activate even in relatively dark conditions.

Energy Consumption: While the lights consume slightly less than the advertised 20 watts (16.2 watts), they still provide a good amount of brightness, which is a positive aspect.

Installation Experience: The installation process was straightforward, but the performance issues are a problem for me.

In conclusion, while the Torkase motion sensing floodlight is bright and consumes less power than advertised, its sensitivity to ambient light and frequent false activations make it unsuitable for my needs. These are somewhat decent or average PAR38 LED flood lights that appear to be reasonably well-built (although they seem a bit lightweight in comparison to some others); however, they are NOT nearly as bright as they advertise to be, which is a bit of a bummer to say the least.

They advertise to be 2000 lm (20W); however, they are no more than 586 lm when comparing to a known/existing PAR38 LED light bulb (from a reputable known brand) rated at 1200 lm which is a rather shocking disappointment. With that being said, these do have slightly wide beam so they aren't really that bad to my eyes although it's a different story for measuring instruments. In any event, it's about 70-75% of the advertised brightness (~ 1400 lm) taking into account all the factors so it's that as bad as I first thought.

The physical build quality seems decent albeit typical of most of these LED light bulbs at this point in time; however, they do feel a bit lightweight and somewhat hollow which doesn't inspire confidence at first. They have the same size (pretty much a standard at around 12 cm in diameter) as my existing ones but they are slightly shorter which may or may not work with your existing setup so just keep that in mind.

They have BOTH PIR (i.e. motion detection) sensor as well as light sensor so motion detection only works when ambient light falls below a certain threshold (i.e. 15 lx). I can't easily determine whether those thresholds are accurate (i.e. <15 lx and >40 lx) but they do work just fine during the tests and it will turn itself off after about 40 sec or so of inactivity, which is exactly what I want and one of the main reasons for the order. These also claim to have 30K hrs lifespan and your guess is as good as mine with respect to the truthfulness of the claim (i.e. most likely NOT). Btw, these do NOT have any safety certification so if this concerns you, look elsewhere.

Do you stop using seatbelts because someone died of accidents while wearing one? Is driver's license unnecessary because more accidents are caused by those with valid licenses than not? There are countless examples I could think of but most importantly is the undisputed fact that it is the Canadian law and it's there to minimize harm and not necessarily eliminate it. If the idea of certifications (safety or otherwise) are truly useless, then our civilization would crumble. In either case, I'd choose and support products with any of the 3 certs mentioned above any day over products that have none. The choice is of course yours, as always.
