Longer, more restorative nights and naps

Ooly is a great, high-functioning OK to wake clock/night light that you can really tailor to your own use. Your kids will love the cute character — they will likely take turns snuggling with him : )

Ooly gives you a lot of control over the settings and schedule. You can program everything according to your own preferences. You can cue a light setting with any particular days/times you choose — the default settings do not use blue light (which parents love) and you can pick your own colors (which my kids love). For example, you can set yours for “getting ready for bed” (yellow), “bedtime” (purple), “almost time to wake up” (green — go figure), and “time to wake up!” (blue), but you could also sync it for nap times, or mealtimes, or even potentially use it beyond the toddler years for general scheduling (ie, playtime, school work time, laundry time, etc.).

You can also set times differently for different days of the week (i.e., “school day” schedule set-up for Monday through Thursday and a “weekend day” schedule in place for every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). If you want to tee up a particular schedule for every single day, you could, and you’d never need to futz with the settings after day one. This makes Ooly an especially great choice for families who have a pretty regular schedule they like to stick to.

This little Ooly owl has absolutely transformed our household! Our daughter used to think 2 AM was the perfect time to start her day (no thanks!), but now she waits patiently for the owl’s glow to give her the green light.     I got the Ooly because I have a separate sound machine so I just wanted the light changing features. It works great! I’ve had it almost a year now and I haven’t had any issues at all.

    I love that there are no buttons so my son can have it right beside or even in his bed all night and he can’t turn it on or off.

    The battery lasts a long time on one charge. They say 10 days, I find it lasts longer but I only do nap and bedtime lights. It’s on a very low red light all night and my son knows if the owl is red, he needs to be in bed.

    I do wish the app could send a notification when the battery is low to remind me to charge it. I have a reminder set on my phone to do it every 10 days.

    The owl is also very durable. My son has hit it and it has rolled out of the bed before and it’s in perfect condition.

    Personnellement je trouve que le prix de l'appareil est élevé pour le produit. Par contre, je n'ai rien trouvé sur le marché qui fait ce que Ooly fait. Et pour les heures de sommeil de plus que ça nous a amenées, je repaierais ce prix n'importe quand hahah !

    Le premier Ooly commandé ne se rechargeait plus, j'en ai obtenu un en échange très facilement et qui fonctionne très bien.

    Ma fille de 4 ans se levait fréquemment la nuit et Ooly nous a permis de réduire ça de façon remarquée. Elle vient nous rejoindre le matin (encore tôt mais nous retardons progressivement) et elle est contente de dire : mon hibou est bleu, je peux venir vous trouver.

    Points positifs :
    - Reste chargé pour une semaine environ et n'a pas besoin d'être branché entre temps
    - Utilisé autant pour la sieste, la routine du dodo que la nuit
    - Grand éventail de choix de couleur et d'intensité
    - Possibilité de faire une "lampe de poche" bien apprécié ici
    - Ma fille ne peut pas modifier les paramètres à même l'appareil (c'est arrivé avec un autre type d'appareil...)
    - Possibilité de modifier l'horaire à partir de mon cellulaire même si Ooly est dans le lit de ma fille (pour les matins de fin de semaine disons)
    - Bonne durabilité et facile à nettoyer ; ma fille le traîne avec elle partout dans la maison

    Points négatifs :
    - Aucune notion de jour / nuit ou d'horaire (en fonction de l'heure qu'il est) comme une horloge, donc pas de notion de "temps qu'il reste"
    - Ne reste pas connecté avec l'application, donc nous devons le "reconnecter" à l'application à chaque fois que nous allons dans les paramètres

    Our daughter (2.5 years old) was having trouble staying in her bed for extended period overnight (she transitioned from a crib very early). After months of failing to get her to spend the entire night in her own bed, we got an Ooly and it has definitely helped change her sleep behavior. She understands now that certain colour (e.g. red, pink) mean "stay in bed" and green means "okay to get up" and loves the little owl design. Best feature is that she can't fiddle with the buttons to turn it off/change colour. If you're looking for a great sleep tool to help teach your toddler about appropriate wake times, this might be the one for you!

    We found it because our daughter loves owls, and we thought that maybe a colour alarm clock came in an owl shape...presto ooly.
    We purchased through 鶹, the order took longer than a normal amazon order (small business woes), but it showed up in the end and worked well.
    Now we don't hear our daughter in the morning until Ooly turns our chosen green colour. Then like clockwork we hear her and we are happy to not know how long she has been quietly playing by herself.

    We cannot be more please with our purchase of Ooly. He has transformed the sleep of my 3.5 year old. She used to wake up as early as 5 or 5:30 some days, and when we told her it was still nighttime she would scream and cry. The same would happen at bedtime—it was a battle that started creeping later and later. She was overtired. This became untenable once we had our second baby, not only because we were tired but because her yelling would wake him up. I tried an “OK to Wake” clock that had good reviews on amazon, one that looks and works more like an alarm clock, but she is too smart and she figured out how to turn it off. She also would accidentally set the alarm, which would go off in the middle of the night and wake up the whole house. My daughter immediately took to Ooly. She carries him around and even says “I love you Ooly” when she goes to bed. She hasn’t opened her door before 6:30 since getting Ooly, and bedtimes are much easier—yellow means story time, and red means she needs to be in bed. I love how easy it is to use, and how you can set a schedule that allows for a little more sleep on weekends or manually make a change if something comes up. Once in awhile it disconnects and the color won’t do what it’s supposed to, but that’s rare and always an easy fix. He’s also fallen down the stairs a few times and been just fine. Overall, it’s an amazing product at a fair price and I tell everyone with toddlers about it!

    I used the ok to wake clock for my two older children, but unfortunately (or fortunately 😊) it got broken and I couldn't use it for my third. I looked on 鶹 and found Ooly. It is WAY BETTER than the ok to wake clock. This thing was definitely designed by parents. First, no buttons for your kid to mess with (this was a real problem with my second kid). Second, no blue lights is an option. We all know blue lights disrupt sleep, why do they use it on all the kids sleep stuff? Third, the app is simple and noninvasive of your data. This was big for me. I avoid almost all things that have apps because I don't like being tracked. The app is simple and non intrusive - you can set it to be on or off for however long you want. Fourth, my daughter LOVES this thing. It has been 3 months since we transitioned her to a bed, we used Ooly from the start and she had not gotten out of bed once. She takes it to bed with her, had dried it MANY times without issue and is so excited when the light comes on in the morning. The light showing bedtime or naptime had been a great help too. I highly recommend. Skip ok to wake, this is the next generation and it's a vast improvement.

    The app is extremely easy to use and connect. The light can be transitioned from 0-100% I do wish we could enter in the percentage we want as an option vs only having it be on a slider.

    But this is fantastic. The battery quality lasts a long time - easily a week but I think closer to ten days. We leave it on ALL night. Starting at 730 we have a yellow light to signify bedtime routine. 830 is red & "when it is red, we stay in bed". 845 I have the red light dimmed from 50% to 10%. I really like that it works plugged in or placed in babe's bed. Green at 630A. There's also a manual override if babe has an off sleeping day.

    I found other ok to wake clocks with no led display but the scheduling of the clocks were on the devices themselves and too easily accessible by babe.

    Like the title states, I do regret not introducing it earlier. My oldest did take some time to adjust to having it because I waited until after she started getting of bed on her own. I'm going to get a second for my youngest and introduce it sooner than I did with my oldest while baby is still in crib and creates the association.

    This is a great product! We bought it for travel, both to use as a nightlight, and so our son would know when it's okay to wake up. It really helped him sleep in a new location! It's also adorable, and very durable and easy to pack. The app is easy to use.

    I bought the Ooly in a pinch after having too many troubles with the Hatch (the Hatch started to shut off in the middle of the night - after lengthy troubleshooting with the Hatch team, it continued to malfunction).

    The Ooly is overall great. I love the color options and the dimming options (we keep it quite dim). I find it more user-friendly than the Hatch, especially bc I only needed the LIGHT and not the sound machine. I also like that it's wireless so it can move around the room (and come with us when we travel).

    My one piece of constructive feedback is that the battery life does not last as long as expected. When I reached out to the Ooly team, they advised charging it twice a week just to be sure it doesn't turn off in the middle of the night.
