Of course, like an idiot, I locked myself out of the house the day after I put them in. So I had to force the window up and over them to open it far enough to throw my kid through the window to unlock the door. I was impressed with how much force I actually had to use to break into my own house and to their credit, these things didn't break off. Great value for the money and really easy to install. Plus they double as window holders when you want to keep an old loose window open.

These were easy to install however they did not work at all for my standard windows. The window could easily be pushed up past the wedge even though the gap was small enough that the wedge should have worked. Because of the velcro backing and soft plastic and my windows being older vinyl the window just bumped out and over the wedge. I would not recommend these. The price was good though.
