    I purchased this product to replace an identical product that I've had for over 10 years. I really like this watch. Great Value. Lots of Functionality. It's my workhorse watch that I wear all the time.

    I took the watch that I'm replacing into the pool and, unfortunately, water got into it and made it unusable. That's my error. The watch is water resistant, not water proof. I have taken the watch into the water before but my guess is that the last time I had the battery replaced, somehow it didn't fully seal. Live and Learn.

    Je la trouve formidable. J'apprécie de pouvoir, au besoin, programmer trois alarmes quotidiennes différentes. Le cadran s'illumine de façon uniforme, ce qui est bien. Le bracelet semble résistant et ne craint pas l'eau. Petit bémol, le bouton qui sert à illuminer le cadran est mal placé ou, simplement, trop proéminent: c'est dix fois par jour (jour et nuit) qu'il se presse inutilement. La nuit, par exemple, si vous glissez l'avant-bras sous l'oreiller où repose votre tête, la pression suffira à illuminer le cadran de votre montre. En réalité, c'est peut-être un défaut sans importance – sauf si la durée de vie de la pile en est sensiblement réduite. Évidemment, je ne le saurai pas avant un bon moment (j'espère). Autrement, je suis vraiment satisfait de cet achat.

    This is the third one of these I’ve had. One thing I’ve liked about the alarm is how much louder it is than most other Timex watches. Thankfully, this one is the loudest one of the three previous ones I’ve had! Easy to read and light on my wrist. Band is very comfortable. It has a low profile. It used to come in blue, with a blue and black strap, but this green and black one will do just fine. On average each one lasts me around 6 years each with a couple of battery changes of course. Admittedly I’m not very hard on things so not sure what others might experience.

    After a few years of not having a watch, I began searching for a watch that met my visual and feature requirements. This Timex T48042 watch fits my desires perfectly.

    The watch screen is large enough to easily read, and the layout of it is also very good. It shows the time in large digits, while also displaying the day and the date in smaller digits. It has a stopwatch/lap function with a 99+ lap function. When the 99th lap is reached, the lap counter resets to 0, but the timer continues to time accordingly. It has a large "Indiglo" button directly below the screen which provides ample light in darkness to read the entire screen with ease.

    The watch band is very comfortable and has 9 holes for fitting. The inside of the band (the part that touches the wrist) has a very soft material, I'm guessing that it is nylon according to the product description, stitched to it, which makes the watch quite comfortable. The outside of the band is a combination of brown leather and black nylon, which gives it a very nice look and feel to it. The watch head is a forest green and the buttons are a greenish-tan color. Overall, the colors work beautiful together and was one of the reasons I was attracted to this watch.

    The watch is not waterproof, but it is water resistant to approximately 100m. So be careful if getting near water with this watch as water may manage to get inside the watch. I have not has any problem, but I am relatively careful when near water with this watch.

    I, personally, have not found any cons or problems with this watch. It is well built and should last quite a while if taken care of.

    Overall, I am very satisfied with this watch. The functionality, colors, and feel work very well together, and it is a pleasure to own and wear. I fully recommend this watch.

    I purchased a Timex Men's Expedition watch on 24 Nov 23 and in less than 5 months; the watch is resetting itself to 01 Jan 2016 every time I put it on. It seems the watch resets with the most simple movement or vibration. UNSATISFACTORY for a digital watch to say the least!! I've contacted TIMEX for repair or replacement and was sent "Repair Instructions" via email.

    Summary: I was told by TIMEX, the repair work is done overseas and would take 2-3 months just to send the watch to the Philippines.... and also.... the repair fees are dependent on the type of repair and whether the watch is in or out of warranty. Once repair fees have been determined, the repair turnaround time is an ADDITIONAL 2-4 weeks after repair payment is made. In my case..... even though still under warranty, I would have to pay a shipping and handling fee and the whole process would take 4 - 5 months at a minimum!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

    My advice..... NEVER BUY A TIMEX PRODUCT.... The quality of their watches and the Customer Service of this company have seriously degraded. DONT WASTE YOU MONEY OR TIME on any TIMEX product. It's hit or miss whether it will work or not. DO NOT expect quality customer service if you have a problem. You will be very disappointed, if fact OUTRAGED to say the least!!
