Directions

Take 1 capsule three times daily with meals providing protein, or as recommended by your health professional. Consult a health professional for use beyond 6 months.

    NAC is a fantastic supplement, but I won't go on about it here - please do your own research! What I will talk about is this particular offering from Thorne. Thorne is well known for producing very high quality supplements, so it's a name I feel I can trust. The bottle ships nicely packaged, and arrived to me fully sealed. Label is easy to read with all the info you'd expect for a supplement. The 90-cap size is great, a 3-month supply is perfect for me.
    Admittedly, I try to enjoy life as fully as possible - and that includes having a nice glass of wine with a good meal, and I have found taking NAC daily prevents any morning-after regrets from having an extra glass the night before. Of course, there are many more benefits to it than that, but from my experience that's a positive effect that I have directly noticed from NAC, and Thorne is a company I know I can trust for product quality. Happy to give it 5-stars.

    I have been taking NAC for some time now as I find it helps to reduce my histamine response so bug bites don't affect me as badly. I also find it reduces my inflammation. These capsules are easy to swallow and seem to be as effective as other brands I've taken in the past by the simple fact that the benefits I get from taking NAC are still evident after switching to Thorne brand.

    Thorne is a very reputable company that has been around for awhile. They have good quality supplements without the use of magnesium stearate which is a lubricant for the machines so the product can flow through faster without clumping. The problem is that it also prevents you from absorbing the product fully. So having supplements without the magnesium stearate is important to me because I feel like I get more out of it as a result.

    In addition this is a US company with a GMP facility and lab test their batches. I've used some of their other products in the past and they were always effective and good quality.

    Pros:

    - It contains pure NAC at a 500 mg dosage. Normally NAC supplements I've seen are in the 500 to 600 mg range so this is a normal dose, and more is not necessarily better either.

    - I had no trouble swallowing the medium sized capsules. I didn't notice any aftertaste, nor any negative side effects after taking them.

    - Thorne is a very reputable brand so you know you're getting the real thing. The bottle has an NPN number which means it's licensed by Health Canada too. I think everything from Thorne is made in the US.

    Cons:

    - None.

    NAC is such an important supplement in my daily regimen. I have taken it for years and attribute much of my improvements to it. This is a great product form a great brand. I usually note the high price of Thorne products due to the quality ingredients, certification, and testing of their products. I am confident in this brand, and this NAC is actually well priced and well worth it.
