After reading a few reviews of people complaining about the bad quality of this board game, I hesitated to buy it. However, the game seemed fun and the price on 鶹 was lower than other stores so I decided to give it a try. I am very satisfied of my purchase. This game is so much fun and I had no problem with the quality of the board along with the different components that comes with it. I like that you spin a wheel of numbers instead of using a dice which makes it more interesting. I also really like that there are different paths you can choose from which gives more variety every time you play. The ending of the game is always different depending mainly on luck but also the choices you make. I enjoy answering the questions on action cards which makes the game more socially interactive. Even if it is a game of 4 players max, it was still fun with only 2 players. My only complains would be that the pegs are small, the bills are flimsy and the cards are very pointy on the corners. Just little details that could be improved but otherwise I recommend playing this board game with friends and family.

As an effort to get the grandkids off screens and actually doing something together, I bought this game. It was my favorite as a child so I knew what to expect. The grandkids love it and we play frequently. We leave the spinner unattached, and pass it to the player, as my table is large. It also makes storage perfect, as others have noted, you cannot close the box with the spinner attached. The kids particularly like the careers better than the old version, which they called ‘ boring’. They have my old game their mother ‘ borrowed’ from me decades ago, so this game holds up. We partner up my 6 yo granddaughter, as this game is too hard for a child who cannot do math in the thousands. That works well for us as we are 5 and only 4 can play. Good , clean fun for all ages!

Great game for kids and adults alike. Most people have played this game...my gripes about this version are:
    1. The spinner is junk...it isn't attached to the board so it's always flopping all over the place or won't spin properly because you have kids playing this game who don't realize they should anchor it with their other hand before spinning. I find I'm often holding onto it when it's the kids turns so it stays in one place and they can spin it more properly. After about a year, the colours beneath it started to shift too so it doesn't line up, which is frustrating.
    2. There are too many things...like why do we need pets involved? You have a pet to start, get married, and potentially have kids yet they left the vehicle with the same amount of spaces (6)...we've had more than 6 passengers several times and with pieces that small, you really don't want to be putting them aside to count up for points at the end of the game.
    3. The spin to win...you get tiny cardboard circles you can place on the wheel...you are more than likely to lose these although somehow we haven't yet. I always forget to place them because you get spin to win so many times it just gets too annoying so we just yell out what we want.
    4. There are way too many action cards.

My kid loves this game though and we have had fun playing it. It is a good game but improvements could be made especially to the spinner...seriously, when are they going to get that thing right?

The Game Of Life has always been one of my favourite board games - I hadn't played it since I was a child and I think I may have been more excited than my daughter was when it arrived. Shipping was super fast, and I am actually happy with the quality of the game itself. Unlike so many other classic games, this one doesn't feel cheaply re-made like some others. It takes 3 of us about 1 hour to play a round. We love that it's a simple and easy going game to play!

The Game of Life is a classic family board game that takes players through common life events such as going to school, starting a career, getting married, having children or pets, buying a house, bank loans etc. in order to reach retirement and best other players by having the most successful (financially) "life". I was able to buy this edition for $15 during the board game sale, and there are no regrets. The plastic spinner does sometime get stuck, but it's otherwise easy to use.

Our 7 y.o. has been torturing us with this game - made me play all day long, and still can't get enough after a month of playing.
The game teaches the kids the concept of money in general, banknotes and the change, importance of education, simple decision making, strategy, counting.
Good quality, though the pets/people pieces are very small.
Also, I don't understand how come a pet is more rewarding than a child??? :-)

I received this game within the stated timeframe in very good condition. We have not yet played it but was told a lot of good things about this game. My children are looking forward to us playing this game. The concept of it is an effective and fun way to get children to determine what they would like to do as a profession later in life. Very good!

Another prime deal so I think it was around $8. Great price.

My family loves The Game of Life. This one is cute as you can get a dog or cat. The cards and board feel cheaper than the original game we have (early addition with the 3D houses). This one doesn’t have the 3D houses and the spinner attaches to a corner. That was my one gripe as it kept coming off which was just a bit irritating.

The game is a little different than the others, like you don’t have to buy a house, and stock numbers are including with your career card. There are different paths for starting a family or not.

My favorite part is on the action cards there are talking points. Like what type of car would you buy? Or describe your favorite amusement park ride. In a world full of technology and kids lacking the ability to day dream or create original ideas, I love this part. It starts a family dialog.

The game was played in about an hour, with interruptions. Our youngest player was 8.
