5.0 out of 5 stars This game is by far the best of any racing game ever put out

This game is by far the best of any racing game ever put out. I had this game years ago. I gave my game system away to a friend who helped out during a move. It was a PS3 that played PS2 & PS3 games. I had every racing game that came out for both. I can tell you now I had over 50 different racing games. I missed my Eve of Destruction. I couldn't stand not being able to play the game any more. I came across an old PS2 I had after my move. I found a Eve of Destruction on 鶹. End of story. It came in less than a week. Great packaging. Now the game. Talk about cars. Classic cars like Vega's & Pinto's & Gremlin's & Chevelle's & Nova's & Mustang's & even a Ranchero & a Dodge Charger. You can not get more old school than that. Graphics. Awesome with fire & some blowing out of damaged cars. The animate stuff like tires & bill Boards & guard rails actually go flying when they get hit, you can smash into this stuff & move it around causing big issues for other racers. The Graphics on the cars is awesome. They all look like the classic cars from the late 60's & 70's. They all take a beating & keep on clicking with hoods & doors flying off, fire blazing out of exhaust & engine with lots of smoke trails. It don't get no better than this. 9 different compact cars, 8 different midsize cars, 9 different muscle cars, 6 different special cars to choose from, all with 5 different paint & set themes. 13 different tracks with 21 different choices of type of racing. You have 25 different cool names to call your self. 5 different play strenths from Rookie to Ledgend. 4 different ways to set up your play in race events with 1,3,5, or7 events per race, plus you get to choose the race you want when in race mode. Now career mode. Start off with a Moth & go racing or trade it in at the juck yard or just go cruising around the map & check things out. There are so many hiden goodies like grudge races & a garage to upgrade your ride & get a custom paint job that only you could come up with. I have found nothing better than this as I have spent many hours in the garage playing with the paint. You can control everything on the brush from size to color. Let your imagination & artistic ability over come you, because when you get done, you use this tank to go racing with. By all accounts no other game matches up to this. My personal favorite is the 57 Chevy with the exhaust pipes poking up out of the hood so I can watch the flames & smoke shoot out every time I mail the throtle or it backfires. I love it.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Best Game In The Test Drive Series!

It's a very good game. I think it is the best one in the series. What makes this game great is the detail, and the gameplay itself. The only 2 flaw's I saw was the loading time and the handling of each car. But still, it is a great racing game. The BEST IN THE SERIES!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great underrated game.

Great game that I loved when it came out . I had bought it in a reduced price bin not long after its release for a few dollars. I always found that strange and have learned how so many others purchased theirs that way too. I let someone borrow it, and obviously I found myself looking for it again to play with my 8 year old son who greatly enjoys it and it is challenging as well. I had been putting off repurchasing this item due to the high resale of this now cult classic. I caved and it has been worth it. There are many elements to this game that are groundbreaking in the playability and enjoyment of it, especially in multiplayer. Those are lost in today's games and I think it is intentional in favor of overall profit industry wide instead of enjoyability and making a great game to experience with others. (Especially in split screen.) Seller delivered item as advertised and I am pleased with the transaction.

5.0 out of 5 stars very unique racing game

Test Drive Eve of destruction combines classic dirt track racing with demolition derby with very fun results. The career mode starts you off in small slow cars with basic race types, but as you start winning "Eve's" new cars become available and the Eve's have new events keeping the career mode fresh. There are also cars, tracks and cheats to unlock in action mode by doing certain challenges in the game that make for interesting racing. Multiplayer is up to 4 people split screen in the action mode but no online play. The soundtrack includes rock songs from Sum 41 and Hoobastank. If your a fan of dirt track racing and/or wrecking stuff I recommend getting this game. It is also available for the original Xbox.
