I have been slowly replacing all the cookware in my kitchen to non-toxic, food grade materials made with no harmful chemicals. This includes my cutting boards. With viruses and climate change upon us, one can never be too safe, and food-born illnesses are so easy to catch. These cutting boards are made from heavy duty tempered glass. They are durable and thick—perfect for cutting up all of your food needs. Most important aspect of these type of cutting boards is that they clean up easily, leaving no trace of any food getting stuck in a groove or a dent where a knife has made it’s mark, harboring nasty viruses and bacteria.
I love that there are two cutting boards as well. Often I am chopping up vegetables and meat simultaneously. by having two of these, it creates an even safer environment for cutting up meats by keeping them separate from the veggies.
While a lot of these new cutting boards, whether they be made of steel or glass, I have not seen any with a rubber border that protects them. Even tempered glass breaks if you hit it against a hard surface. These have a thick, shock-proof rubber border, and for a guy as clumsy as I am, this aspect is a life-saver for me. The manufacturer didn’t state this feature,. It states the rubber border as as an anti-slip feature, which is true, so there are two great aspects in one feature. I like the red accent as well.
These cutting boards make a great gift for anybody—including yourself. I am 64 years old, and one thing I have recently learned is that I want to surround myself with nice things when applicable. These cutting boards are really nice.
