    This worked better on some of our phones than others, and we suspect the phone cases were the biggest challenge. Long story short, bulky cases can interfere with how well the clamp for the mount works and how well any scope can rest against the camera.

    For those trying to take photos through your telescope, this isnt it it's nice and sturdy but it takes too long to attach to the eye pieces. Even if youre just trying to shoot the moon, you're going to struggle to get it on without losing your spot or before the earth's rotation moves it. There is a better one that's a clamp on rather than a screw on that I'm now loving as I can put my phone on with ease at any time in seconds. This one isn't bad in general just not good for astrophotography

    When we were in Costa Rica a few years ago, the guides on the nature hikes all had spotting scopes and binoculars. So we could have photos of what were were looking at, they'd allow us to put our cell phones up to the spotting scope and awkwardly try to snap a few photos, or they'd do it for us. It worked. But man, now that I have my own very nice spotting scope for birding and nature observation, this phone holder is a must-have for cell phone photography through the spotting scope. It fixes easily to my phone and fixes easily to the eyepiece. Adjustments up, down, left, and right are a breeze. This is important since modern cell phones come with so many camera lenses all in a small space. I'm very pleased with the functionality of this cell phone scope mount.
