Attaching our lens with T ring adapter(included) to your camera;
Set the mode dial to Manual (M);
Set the appropriate ISO/shutter speed and adjust the focal length according to the distance of the subject;
Determine the subject and turn the focusing ring of the lens to focus;
Take a test photo.

FULL MANUAL LENS, no electric contacts→no auto focus→no image stabilization

If the picture turns out dark;

Lower the shutter speed
Raise the ISO Number
Switch position to allow more light coming through the lens into the camera imaging sensor

FULL MANUAL LENS, require more exprerience with Manual Exposure. Also, the aperture value is not displayed in the camera. It has no stabilization and no autofocus, to get a sharp image you have to take the time to focus, this is what we call a manual lens. If you mind about this, buy the original lens.

What is the filter size for this 420-800mm telephoto lens?

Why can't I press the shutter to take a picture after mounting the lens?

Because our products are manual focus lenses with no electronic contacts, Please set the camera to M mode.
Why does my picture out of focus and very blurry?

Manual focus lens need to need to turn the focus ring for manual focusing, pls rotate the focus ring on the body at the front of the lens to focus. If it is still blurry, pls use a tripod and time-lapse function to keep the image stable.
Images are too bright/too dark

Too bright is because of overexposed, recommend to lower the ISO and increase the shutter speed. And too dark is because of underexposed, recommend to increase the ISO and decrease the shutter speed.

For those who photograph wildlife or the moon as a hobby, this lens would be a great choice.

I'm going to start at the end with my main conclusion: Sharp focus is everything!
When I hit the focus as sharp as possible, the purple fringing that I fully expected was significantly reduced. You can see that in the closeup of the lens in the grass (mirror imaged to get the lens caps close together).
It wasn't as obvious while shooting or previewing on the camera's back display but really stood out in editing later. From now on I will take multiple shots when they are distant subjects to bracket the focus ever so slightly. The crude feel of the focus ring on this lens makes that a bit tricky and my camera does not have focus bracketing.

Of course this lens slipped out of my hands and fell from the back seat of the car on to the parking lot (while in its supplied bag) while doing these trials and seems no worse for that blooper. This lens is stone axe simple in design and build.

The longest focal length I have to swap with this is a 70-300mm so it was not possible to get matching focal length comparisons. Taking into account that this BENOISON 420-800mm is getting me so much further out it's easy to pick out flaws on rendering objects my 70-300mm will never reveal. Seeing the individual rivets on the water tower tank is impressive. That shot is a cropped portion from a 24Mp at the 800mm maximum. On the uncropped images the purple fringing is most noticeable on the horizontal electrical cables and a vertical pipe on the tank, which are where I expected I'd find any purple, from past experience trying to re-use ancient lenses of mine. I look at it like the price to pay in image quality for reaching that far away on this bargain price lens.

The focal lengths involved really needed a sturdy tripod, not a lightweight field tripod. It takes for ever for it to settle down and the slightest breeze is noticeable. In future I will be using my rigid carbon video tripod. I did use the 1/4-20 threaded ring on the lens to mount it. Anyway a lot of those comments are generic to any long focal length lens.

The dust cap for the camera end is no use once an aftermarket adapter ring is installed so I keep the lens in the pouch with the open end in first. I ordered a simple adapter to a Sony full frame E mount separately from �鶹��. Everything connects easily.

First noticeable thing about this lens, it is manual not autofocus just so we are clear. It is mentioned in the title and description, but keep that in mind.

I'm by no means an experienced photographer, but have been using SLR cameras for as long as I remember (both wet film and digital). I don't really know how to describe it, is it a basic lens for a semi-beginner, or for a more advanced photographer who knows manual shooting methods? I can't decide.

You will 100% need to use this in conjunction with a solid tripod, is almost impossible to take stable and focussed photos by hand.

In hindsight do I think it's worth the money? Yeah I think it's fair, but just be prepared to do everything manually - this is not a point and shoot lens.

I used this lens on my Sony ZV-E10 through an adapter, and it works smoothly. I can take clear pictures of things at a range of distances, though I'm still getting used to manual-focused lenses!

Skill issue is a thing here!

The tripod mount ring is very helpful, too.

This is a great "first telephoto lens" or great budget lens for any photographer.
