DIGITAL READOUT
With its highly visibly, simple to read digital readout, the Primus IQ lets you quickly monitor your and trailer brake settings and connection. Easily view power output, boost, and more while a continuous diagnostic check monitors your connection and alerts you of any electrical issues, so you can fix any problems before they land you on the side of the road.
MANUAL OVERRIDE
If you ever need to manually apply the trailer's breaks simply slide the Primus IQ's override lever to the desired power output. Unlike a “push knob” for manual override, the sliding level allows you to increase the trailer's braking at variable rates allowing you to give your brakes a little, or a lot, of stopping power depending on your needs.
BOOST BUTTON
When towing a heavy load you may need a little extra effort from your trailer's brakes to ensure a smooth, safe, comfortable stop. Boost allows a more aggressive setting, increasing the sensitivity of the brake controllers inertial sensor and enhancing the participation of the trailer's brakes during a braking event.
MULTIPLE MOUNTING OPTIONS
Featuring a versatile mounting range of 180 degrees the Primus IQ includes all of the necessary hardware for easy installation, as well as both a traditional mounting bracket, or snap-in mounting clip, allowing you to quickly remove and store the controller when it's not in use.
QUICK AND EASY DISCONNECT
With an included plug and play wiring port that adapts to all Tekonsha 2-plug vehicle specific brake controller wiring harnesses, the Primus IQ allows for quick connection between the controller and tow vehicle for fast and easy installation or removal.
WORKS PROPORTIONALLY IN REVERSE
When you need to back your trailer into a tough spot the Primus IQ has you covered, braking proportionally in reverse to apply the appropriate braking power based on the deceleration of the tow vehicle. This allows for smoother stopping even when backing up without experiencing the sudden braking jolts that can often be felt when using a time based controller.
SELF-LEVELING
There's never a need to worry about adjusting the Primus IQ brake controller based on the terrain you are towing over. The Primus IQ’s internal technology automatically levels as you drive, so there's no problem using it while traversing steep hills or when towing through the mountains.
