Descaling your Bosch Tassimo coffee machine is essential to maintain its performance and ensure the quality of your beverages. The machine will indicate the need for descaling when the red light (often labeled “calc” or showing a spray icon) illuminates.
Prepare the Descaling Solution
Remove the water tank and fill it to the level marked with the descaling symbol.

Add two official Bosch Tassimo descaling tablets to the water and allow them to dissolve completely.

Insert the Service Disc
Locate the yellow (or orange) Service Disc stored in your machine, typically behind the water tank or in a side compartment.
Open the brew head and insert the Service Disc barcode-side down.

Start the Descaling Cycle
Place a container with at least 500 ml capacity under the coffee outlet.

Press and hold the start button for approximately 5 seconds until the descaling process begins.
The cycle will run for about 30 minutes, during which the machine will intermittently dispense the descaling solution.
Rinse the Machine
Once the descaling cycle is complete and the red light turns off, remove and thoroughly rinse the water tank.
Refill the tank with fresh water to the maximum level.
Run at least three full rinse cycles by pressing the start button, allowing the machine to flush out any remaining descaling solution.
Finalize
Remove the Service Disc and store it back in its compartment.
