Product description
The 35-150mm F2-2.8 is ideal for both travel and portrait photography. It is the first zoom lens for Nikon Z-Mount full-frame mirrorless cameras to have a maximum wide-open aperture of F2. Travel photographers can easily take beautiful sunrise and sunset shots, distinctive interior/exterior buildings, as well as twilight and nightscape photos. Portrait photographers can shoot wide to telephoto coverage during an event or portrait shoot without switching lenses, all while enjoying the soft background bokeh desired by portrait and wedding professionals. The VXD linear autofocus motor provides a very high-speed and high-precision AF for a fast aperture lens. This lens supports the full array of frequently used angles-of-view, making it easy to compose the perfect shot without changing your position from the subject. With outstanding optical performance throughout the range and more features like the new Tamron Lens Utility™ custom function capability, the lens is an ideal one for enthusiast and professional still and video image-makers.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 9, 2025Verified PurchaseThis is my almost perfect wedding lens. Sharp lens and fast focusing on my Z6III. It replaces many lenses and I'm not having to switch primes or work with two cameras. Two things against the lens which is the weight, an issue for some but not for others. The other, is the placement of one of the function buttons, which sits under the lens. It's a stupid place for it as your hand will eventually press it by accident, thus why most disable it.

- Reviewed in Canada on February 18, 2025Verified PurchaseFirstly, let me say that if you purchase this from 鶹 in Canada, they are an authorized seller if it says "Sold by 鶹.ca" - I purchased mine using that option and successfully registered this lens at the Tamron website.
I had both the Tamron 24 to 70mm F2.8 with FTZ II adapter and a Nikon 70 to 200mm and I can tell you for the little range of zoom that I miss on both sides of the range, this thing is a life saver when I am shooting events or weddings. It's one lens that saves a lot of weight and the convenience of not having to carry around two lenses!
I find it to be comparable in quality to both the Tamron 24 to 70mm F2.8 with FTZ II adapter and a Nikon 70 to 200mm. No complaints here, I highly recommend this lens.

- Reviewed in Canada on April 15, 2025Verified PurchaseJust got off the phone with Tamron because I wasn't able to register this serial #.
They confirmed the seller is an unauthorized importer, and this is a grey market lens. So there's no warranty available on it, despite what the item description says.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 5, 2025Verified PurchaseI own the Nikon Z 24-70mm 2.8, Z 70-200mm 2.8 and the Z 24-120mm and this lens replaces them all. Very sharp at wide open, programmable buttons are extremely useful. I use switch position 1 for Playback, switch position 2 for “Silent” mode and switch position 3 for 2 position focus racking. The only downside is the weight as it is a beast of a lens. Highly recommended - just buy it as 鶹 has the best price and I can confirm that it comes with the hologram on the box and the warranty, when registered, is six years.
- Reviewed in Canada on October 27, 2024Verified PurchaseThere is definitely some significant vignetting at 35 mm F2 and around 150 mm F2.8, but it almost completely disappear by stopping down 1 stop and is pretty easy to fix in post anyway. The lens is incredibly sharp, feels great, and can is incredibly versatile due to its solid zoom range and wide aperture.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 9, 2024Verified PurchaseBetter than anticipated and a great substitution for my 24-70 2.8 and my 70-200 2.8
1 year after purchase and nothing but pleased with this lens .
It has consistently performed perfectly.
Highly recommend it.
Bravo Tamron

4.0 out of 5 stars Bei 35 mm Extraklasse, bei 150 mm so la, la...

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best lenses I own for Z9
Verified PurchaseThis is hands down one of the best Z9 lenses. I have the 24-70 2.8 and the 70-200 2.8. I loathe my 24-70 lens. I hate the photo quality; grainy, poor clarity. One of the poorest pieces of glass I have owned. The 70-200 is fantastic, takes great shots, but is super heavy for traveling around with it, and I lose the lower mm shooting. So I purchased the Tamron with just the hope that I would like it better than the 24-70 and give me the lower mm again. This lens……WOW. It is crystal clear. Good bokeh. I have shot landscape, sunset/sunrise, graduation portraits, wildlife, storm photography and some astrophotography and it has been mind blowing in quality and composition. I took it on a 12 day vacation and used it the entire trip except for when I went birding and needed my telephoto lens. Lightweight, easy to travel around with, and the quality of the photos is amazing. Sharp and clear. The only glass I keep in my camera bag now are the Tamron and the Nikkor 100-400 with telephoto 2x converter for longer distance shots. The 24-70 and 70-200 just made themselves irrelevant. The above pic was shot on the Z9 with the Tamron lens, hour before sunset, on the beach. If you are on the fence, I would buy this lens over and over again. **this was my first non-Nikkor lens I have ever purchased.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bokeh
Verified PurchaseSpeedy delivery. Arrived less than 3 days after ordering. The bokeh with f2 is very pleasing. This will be my one lens for baby, event & wedding photography. As others have mentioned, it's a heavy lens. After a 2hr event, I definitely felt it in my arms, especially with a large flash unit mounted on my camera. But at F2 - F2.8, there will be lots of times I won't need a flash.
[Edit]: while there was no warranty card included, per se, I was able to successfully register the lens at Tamron USA with the serial # and proof of purchase PDF for their advertised 6 year warranty. The box also has a sticker saying that the seller is an authorized US Tamron dealer.
