20mm is enough to shoot some build inside or outside, if you prefer a building photograph, I will recommend 17-28mm. But if you want to take some portrait picture, the 40mm is close to 50mm, after some crop, it could be a good standard 50mm len. So it's perfect for me to go on the travel to Montreal to take some landscapes, buildings and include some people's photos. The auto focus is very fast and very quiet, it won't make background noise when you do video recording. The shortage is the cheap plastic shell, when you hold it, you will feel a little oily on the surface, but that's the common shortage for the brand Tamron.

    It is not a sharp lens, and come at a price that is considering too high for the quality. I would wish to consider something wider for the range and then maybe prime 35 or 45 or 50mm, that will do well for my travel.
