Bricks fit together well on all sides and are fully compatible with LEGO components with equal clutch on top and bottom of bricks. See my video where I highlight the brick compatibility. Just excuse the fact that it's hard to do with only one hand! Bricks are a 7.5/10 on moulding quality, and fit together without forcing. Colour consistency between bricks is good. Model could have benefited from being built on a baseplate, as there's a bit of flex on the bottom plates that doesn't really go away until you get farther in the build.
Model has a bunch of SNOT building techniques, and the instructions are clear in what you're supposed to do, though sometimes a touch difficult to follow due to how the instructions try to progress quite far with just 1 step. Just go slowly and pay close attention. Any intermediate builder will have no real difficulty with assembly. Model holds together well. It has a LOT of tiny, thoughtful detail, and I love how these small details indicate that the model designer clearly knew what a cabin in the woods would look like and have around it for clutter!
It's starting to take shape, and I'm loving this model cabin as a display piece! I expect it to take approx 8 hours total to assemble fully.
My only complaint is that I feel this set should better sit in the $70-75 CAD price range, as I've been purchasing Chinese clone brick sets for about 15 years now, and feel that they need to stay competitive, as not everyone can afford name brand bricks. But you're still getting lots of play value with this set.
