More and more devices in our home need Wi-Fi, but most don’t come with their own security. To guard your network against viruses and malware, Deco M5 automatically updates itself with the latest definitions, protecting Wi-Fi-enabled products such as smart locks, IP cameras and refrigerators.

Adaptive Routing Technology (ART) for Better Connections

We’ve all been there—you’re moving from one room to another when suddenly the Wi-Fi drops. Range extenders can expand your coverage, but they also force you to manually assign your devices to their Wi-Fi every time you want to use them. Not so simple.

ART automatically chooses the clearest path for all the devices in your home based on the location of each Deco unit*. No matter where you are, you always have the best possible connection, all through a single SSID (network name). Whether it’s 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, ART places your devices on the right band based on the device and what you’re using it for.

Parental Controls for Safer Internet

We know how important it is to you that your kids are safe when they’re online. That’s why Deco M5 comes with a powerful and intuitive set of parental controls that are all accessible and easy to manage right from the Deco app.

You can restrict sites based on age and content ratings, as well as by categories such as social media, news and entertainment. Deco M5 also makes it easy to view regular reports of all the internet activity in your home and schedule Wi-Fi access and set time limits for different family members. You can even use Deco M5 to pause the internet when it’s time for dinner to make it easier for everyone to put their devices down.

Parental Controls

Select from preset filters and customize them further by adding any other sites you choose. Easily create a profile for each family member to set custom time limits and online time allowances. You can even pause the internet altogether.

Antivirus

HomeCare provides malicious content filtering and intrusion prevention for your home network, as well as quarantine functionality of infected devices. An active database protects every connected device from more than five billion threats.

Guest Networking

Create an isolated network for visitors. Once you set up your guest network, you can instantly share its name and password with visitors via text, email or Shake to Share.

Speedtest

Check on the real-time and historical upload and download speeds of your network to determine if there are any performance-hampering bottlenecks. If the Deco app detects a unit not running at optimal performance, the app will automatically reboot the unit.

Setting up new Wi-Fi used to be daunting. Not anymore. With just a few minutes and the Deco app, you can get your entire home network up and running. Just unpack your Deco unit, download the app for Android or iOS and follow the on-screen directions. Deco M5 will take care of the rest.
