The lightweight, all-in-one TL-Racker shotgun forend tactical light features the latest in high power LED technology, providing 1,000 lumens and 1.5 hours of continuous runtime. The TL-Racker is designed to easily replace the original factory forend of a Mossberg 590 Shockwave with a 6 ¾-Inch action slide. Unscrew the action slide nut to replace the forend. O-ring and gasket sealed. NOTE: A special tool is required to remove the spanner nut, this spanner tool is not included with this item. Please refer to Streamlight 69600 for 12 gauge and 7 ¾-Inch action slide for Mossberg Shockwave models.

    At first I regretted upgrading my shockwave with this. It’s a larger fore end which takes away the sleek compact design on the 590, and it bruised my pointer finger from the recoil with each shot.
    I had to decide to sacrifice the compact design for a torch. Which turned out to be worth it as my 590 is now useable at night when I need it.
    As for the pain it creates on the fingers, this turned out to get easier and better once I focused on how to manage the recoil and grip with my rear grip. Once you figure out how to use it, it’s much more comfortable.
    The strap is indeed looser than the stock one, which I will alter myself to make it fit tighter.
    The TL racker is definitely quality though, it has a slight wobble/shimmy when you maneuver it, but it is not noticeable when racking it. It racks smoothly. The light is quite bright, not the brightest I’ve seen, but nothing to complain about. The only gripe I have is that this should come with the fore end socket tool to remove the fore end ring. I managed to install this though with just a flat head screw driver and a small hammer with minimal paint damage on the ring, but once it’s installed the ring is hidden anyway so you can’t tell. It took time and patience to get it done, but it is possible.
    Only suggestion that could have made this better, is a switch to turn off the light as the push buttons can activate in its case if stored carelessly.
    The touch pad/buttons are designed well, not overly sensitive, but not too hard to activate.
    Over all this is an excellent upgrade.

    I'm going to list the only con first. -- Con: The wiring linking the battery to the light is exposed and ready to be shorted by the metal of the barrel. I was already prepared for the solution as I have purchased UV activated resin previously for the mission of making a couple of flashlights water tight. I added a couple drops of resin to the exposed wiring, and after 5 to 10 minutes of UV light exposure, I was ready to use a Dremel tool to sand down the rise of the resin. After sealing and sanding the exposed circuit, this thing works as awesome as the concept could ever be expected to work. I personally believe this product should be $50 cheaper for the amount of work I had to put in to complete it. I'm only giving it three stars for the value of money because they need to finish making this product. Otherwise, it works fantastic and if they fix the small issue, this will be Five Stars all around!
